called the number got the Allstate Motor Club - some kind of promo

Supposedly "Allstate Motor Club", for a road side assistance promotion. The lady hung up after taking my CC number and email. Very suspicious. And I can't find any records or get in contact with anyone from the company regarding the interaction I had.

You actually gave out your CC# & Email to a total stranger?!?!  Mwahhahahahahah!!

Just got a call from this number, 855-345-7214. I asked if I could take a message and the caller refused to identify themselves.

Caller was extremely unprofessional, sounded like she was calling on behalf of insurance, which I have Allstate as well. When I asked her to identify where she was calling from again she hung up. Ridiculous!

We switched from Allstate Motor Club about six months ago.  So when the  lady from "Allstate" called the other day, she wanted to know if we would like to renew our membership for $2.  My hubby didn't dream something was "fishy" but thankfully
told her we have gone with another motor club.  So glad he didn't say "yes"!

Original poster: Watch for your Allstate Motor club membership materials and free gift in the mail.  And don't do that again.
Then call and cancel.  They will send you a refund check.

FYI - This is the second call from these folks in the past couple of days.  When you ask for a refund Allstate subtracts out any towing charges you have had.

Number came up on my caller ID with "Unavailable" instead of a name. It was obviously a bot call, I heard the line click as it connected after I answered. A woman came on the line sounding very confused and unsure, she said "Hello...um...John?" then hung up. She must be one of their new harassers, I mean "telemarketers" because she had no idea what to do. And now this number is added to my blocked list.

May I suggest that you only actually "Receive" the call when you answer the call.....

Caller ID shows "Toll free caller".  No message left.

Have gotten other calls from this number.  They don't answer immediately which tells me it's computer generated.  I hang up if they don't answer.  

Another random call that gave two rings and hung up.  Thanks for the post guys.
I have created a special contacts listing on my phone called Unwanted calls which goes directly to voice mail.
If I don't know the number I don't answer.  If they don't leave a voicemail it gets put under this new contact and I don't have to hear the phone ring the next time they call with this number.  
I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTERY however if I have given my number to a company like Allstate the policy does say they can share the information with the rest of their company.  My suggestion is if they call and it is from Allstate you tell them that the call was reason enough to move to a different insurance carrier or you can ask to be removed from their calling list depending on how you feel that day.

Checked with a local Allstate office. They called their Headquarters. Could not verify if this was a legitimate number for the Motor Club. They did tell me that Allstate has 3 call centers nation wide, but could not confirm any numbers. Until Allstate can confirm this is a legitimate number, I would treat it like a scam call and do not give any personal information. If you really want to join their motor club, just call your local Allstate agent.

If you have ever had any kind of an Allstate policy or have one now, Allstate can call you without violating the Do Not Call law. You can ask to be taken off of their call list. For current Allstate policy holders, contact your local agent and they can go into their computer system and take you off the call list in just a couple of minutes.

So you just give your CC info out over the phone to INCOMING callers????  OOooo WEEEEE!!  Let me get your number. I have some swamp, I mean ocean front property in Arkansas to sell you.....CHEAP!!!!

I love a call from scammer that do not leave me the message!  I call back and get the none answer. I am to read all comments shown that this is the Motors Club at Allstate, but I do not  have yet purchased a automobile as I am new to this land and make only a small pittance in the fields. One day though, I know I am to own a fine Cadillac automobile from the hard work.
