the call every day

They call. When I call back no answer just a 3 beeps and then hangs up

Multiple calls to my child's cell phone without leaving a message. They answer with "live tech support" but you are talking to a robot.  The number may also be associated with tollfree.com.

I got a call from this number on Friday afternoon.  The moron on the other end had a thick middle eastern accent and started telling me that my laptop had been compromised by somebody somewhere.  Obviously a scam attempt when he asked me if I had a computer.  Then, in his incoherent rambling he said that his " certified microsoft technician" would go into my computer and add the appropriate software to prevent any more intrusions.  Before I could get him to shut up the last words he said were "all we need is your password".....I went to insult his family heritage and hung on him....
DO NOT give these idiots any information at all.....if you do, you'll be sorry.......

My folks have been getting calls from them.  Today I was there and spoke with them for about 45 min.  (the more I waste there time the less time they have to call someone else)

It took about 3 or 4 people before I could understand they.   They told me someone had been accessing my computer.  When asks dates/time they gave me some time around 11AM.  They wanted me to turn on my computer so they could show me what had been done.  Both computer were off, and one had the power pack burned out.

They make it sound like they are from Microsoft Window.  Don't fall for that.  MS dose not call people!  You can't even get support for XP if you call.

My folks had friends that let them access there computer and it screwed it up for them.

I told him thank you, and I would take it to a computer shop in town that I had been dealing with for years.

I was suppressed that he stayed on line with me for so long.

i just got a call from this guy telling me to push different buttons on my computer so he could show me that he was getting errow message at the microsoft technician center I didn't he is a scam it showed up on my phone as unknown number but he gave me this number to call back 855-347-7477

I just got the same call that Laurie got, above.  Guy said his name was Francis and had a very thick accent I could hardly understand what he was telling me was wrong with my internet.  Said he was not with Microsoft, but he was with Microsoft support.  I told him it was pretty suspicious and to give me a number where I could call him back.  855-347-7477 is what he gave me.
