This number is associated with TXU energy. I live in central Texas.

TXU is obnoxious in their pursuit of customers.  Called me several times including a weekend when I was 20 feet on a ladder hanging decorations for a benefit.

I have found that telemarketers will generally not call me when I'm up a ladder if I am careful to set the "up a ladder" flag on my phone.

calling to renew my plan.  they don't take no for an answer.
the 1st call, the lady told me it would take 7 - 8 minutes to renew my plan. i said that i was at work and didn't have time. she said, "well, if you don't mind, let's go ahead and take care of it now. it will only take a minute". I said I do mind and you stated it would take 7 - 8 minutes and I told you I am at work and can't do this now. Take me off the calling list.

When I got the next call a few days later, I told the guy that i asked not to be called, he abruptly asked "why did you ask not to be called." i said i don't want to be bothered about my electric bill. he said, "it's not about your electric bill, it's about your electric plan."
what a smart ass. does he think my electric plan doesn't effect my electric bill? does he think being rude will get me to do what he wants?
switching providers asap.

got this call late last night at 9 pm...If from TXU, they need to check their records, as I have already picked my new plan for next year.

i have been receiving calls from another toll free number that calls all the time and doesn't leave a message and now I have started receiving calls from this number.  So annoying!

This is NOT TXU energy....they wanted my mother's maiden name before they continued and wouldn't tell me what they wanted unless I gave it to them........I ended the call.......then I called TXU energy customer service, 800-818-6132,  who said TXU does not call and ask for personal information, but TXU did thank me for reporting this # to them.

Consistantly gets calls but they don't leave a message and when I answer there is no one of the other end...

Why don't you associate a ringer tone that is blank.. No sound mp3 file. A simple one second recording of silence.
Of course, you will still get the calls BUT at lease you won't hear it.

It is TXU wanting to renew your plan. 2nd call I have told them I already renewed and in fact received the plan change packet. They indicate it takes 30 days for the system to update that I have already renewed. Ridiculous.  I asked the girl if she had a person to report to if the system crashed and she said yes, so I told her to tell that person they need to report to their management that 30 days of wasting $ on staffing to continue to call me plus annoying a loyal 20 yr customer is stupid.... To please upgrade your system. Had the something happen last year.

Also added to contact list...so I can ignore future calls.

received many calls from this number over the last month. TXU will not get my business Im changing to a gas generator with reduction gears and a flywheel. Works great paying about 3 cents per kilowatt hour. Look into it.

This is typically a sales attempt from TXU Energy. The calls are typically base toward customers that have a product plane (rate plane) that is about to expire (12 month 24 month type plane). TXU makes attempts to have customer 'Re-Up' to another price plane.
