This is an IRS phishing Scam. Don't call it and report it to the IRS and the TIGTA.

We received 3 voice mails from this number today...was a mechanical voice stating they will be initiating legal proceedings and marking a lien on our assets... will report this to the IRS...

He said it was IRS  his name was Mike Jones  he need us to call back there is a lawsuit from the IRS

Just received the same automated voice IRS scam phone call. The number was 855-367-8242

Received an automated call from 855-367-8242, claiming to be the IRS. Here's the message:

"This is an automated message from the IRS to inform you that the IRS has decided to initiate legal proceedings against your name. So in the next 24 hours, we will be marking a lien on your assets and your bank accounts for your inability to settle your dues with the IRS. A bill collection officer will visit you to complete that paperworks. If you have any questions, call our tax default line: 855-367-8242."

Caller said He was the IRs and I would be up on criminal charges  if I didn't pay right away. This caller sounded East Indian.

Called twice on 2/10/2015. I heard the end of a very fuzzy robo-call message. When I called the number, I heard the typical "boiler room" chatter in the background and a heavily accented man saying he was with "IRS Internal Revenue Service Tax." I immediately hung up.

Just rec'd call from this number claiming I owed $3,900 and needed to pay immediately or face criminal charges. Already knowing this was a scam once he said I was not allowed to contact my tax guy, I told him to shove it. Contacted MCSO, FTC, TIGTA, and media outlets. Hopefully someone can stop this scam!

Call from number above and left IRS message.  Second time we have received this.

Received a call today February 13, 2015, at 9:32 a.m. The caller ID was Private, however this is what the called said...... "This is an automated message from the IRS to inform you that the IRS has decided to initiate legal proceedings against your name. I called that number and told them that I worked for an attorney and that they were doing a scam and would report it and then someone hung up.

Same as above,I called the number back and a man answered and told me I was stupid. Its a big scam!

Same as all above. IRS legal procedure, lein, someone to visit me in 24 hours to do paperwork.

I received two phone calls from this number today.  They threatened legal action and a lean also that someone from the IRS will come to my home in the next 24 hours.  I called back and this was clearly a scam.. I did not give them any information and reported the number to the IRS.

I answered the call and called him out and told him it was a scam. Then he started making threats about liens on my accounts and getting upset so I played him some more. Then a woman called back and left another message on my phone. BRING IT ON!
