Called asking for my under-age child

News to me, a law suit against my daughter.  I thought the legal system still uses snail mail.  Nope, we won't be returning the call.  Do they honestly think people will fall for this?

Left number on Ans. Mach. Said they had a case 3 number and to call them within 24 hrs. N o company name

Told us that they were from a legal department and that there was a case against my husband. Total scam. Will not be returning this call.

If I were you , I'd make a police report.  This could be some sort of child abuse.

This "ARS Management" has a history on 800notes .  Relentless scammers.  Ignore and block the calls.

If you were the subject of a pending civil lawsuit, you'd have received a letter from the attorney for the other party.  You'd have a paper trail.

Then, if a case was filed, you'd have received a summons delivered to you by someone licensed to serve process in your locality.  You would NOT have first heard about any civil law case from some scammery-scummery debt collector who cold calls you and starts demanding money.

You can check this out yourself by simply going down to the local main civil court and checking the defendants civil list.  The court clerks are usually glad to help and are familiar with these kinds of scams.

called from a local number left message leaving this 8553712674 saying had a lawsuit against my husband had 24hours to call

Called using local number and said Dept of legal services told me to call back with 24 hours to avoid lawsuit

Said they were calling about a legal matter and to contact them within 24 hours they mentioned Arthur Sheldon

I got scammed out of money saying that if I didnt pay today they would come arrest me beware of this company.

I did as well, and am in the proccess of trying to cancle payments to them

Saying their process servers and scared me to make payments but in process of cancelling

A guy called by the name of carl waters saying that if i dont pay a debt back id end up in small.claims court in harris county he said id have to pay $53.88 for 10 months for a total of $538.89 and i feel like this guy is scamming me he said this is a past due to wells fargo back in 2007.

Same guy called me today with the exact story! This is a total scam!
