I just did a call back on this number and what you hear is a recording, 'LADIES, WELCOME TO AMERICA'S HOTTEST TALK LINE'  This is basically like one of those 900 numbers and you could quite possibly be charged.  It is nothing but filth!

This number called me and claimed to be a windows tech and my computer had been hacked. He wanted me to get into my computer and do this and that. I played the I'll have my husband call you back card and he gave me another number 315-636-4280. He was very persuasive for me to do as he asked. Then I told him I was turning my computer off he was very upset. He even tried to call me back after I hung up on him. I called my bank and the police, they confirmed my gut feeling that it was a scam, he said if someone was going to call me it would be Microsoft not windows.

I got call that this was an IBM tech guy.  Said my computer was hacked, I told him there is nothing wrong with my computer and to take me off there list.  I'm on the do not call list, that doesn't seem to matter any more.

Similar to Mary's experience. Was told that my computer was sending them warning messages and that I needed to log onto my computer. Told him I was at work. The call was disconnected.

"800 service"  on the caller ID.  Looks like a newly spoofed number  with the same old  scammers. Never call these numbers back,  you could end up owing.

Just got call from this number. He was saying my computer got hacked by a porn site. I played into it and he started to talk dirty to me.....scam.

he said he was calling about my computer issues (in very bad English) I yelled at him and told him to f*(& off and not call again (I fix computers, there's nothing wrong with mine!)

I am a computer tech. These calls are definitely scams. If you are foolish enough to let them into your computers, they will navigate to the Event Viewer Logs in the Administrative section of your Control Panel. Once there, they will show you all the "errors" that are on your computer by sorting the last 60,000 events by the error column. This will look very scary when the errors are grouped together, but errors are normal and are usually nothing to worry about (unless you are already having exhibited problems like unexpected freezes or shutdowns). After you are sufficiently scared, they will offer to fix your computer...but alas, you don't have a maintenance contract with them...so for $300 or some other amount, they will put you on a contract and "fix" your computer.
Best reply that I have heard when talking to them is to agree with them that there is something wrong with computer...and say, "There is a message that just popped up on my screen."
They will ask, "What does it say?"
Then you say, "It says, tell this [***] idiot I am calling the FBI."
They will hang up.

I just got a call about my computer needed repair I have a tec that takes care of it.  Please do not call again.
