I received a mail that said we were awarded a Google Android Table from the Promotional Department.  This looks like a scam and the phone number is 1-855-394-9949. Came from CP PO Box 20389 West Palm Beach, FL 33416.

I also received a mailing that said I have been awarded a Google Android Table from the Promotional Department.  This looks like a scam and the phone number is 1-855-394-9949. Came from CP PO Box 20389 West Palm Beach, FL 33416. The back of the "certificate" says "Sponsored By: The Resorts of Tullymore adn St. Ives, 9900 St. Ives Drive, Stanwood, MI 49346".

I got this in the mail too---I'm in Michigan and I think that this might be an attempt to sell us a time-share and if we show up we might get the said promotional products?  I might call from my hardly used cell phone and see if I'm right.  brb

I just called and they said my offer which was #3899 is a time-share offer--but we are disqualified as we are not time share owners of this resort anyways and it deals with how to make money off of it???? and then said it doesn't matter as all slots are full now so good bye!  But they said that AFTER I said I don't have a major credit card.
    Hope that helps,
    Steph

    Same as above.
    Thanks for info.
Google search brought me to:  http://www.tullymoregolf.com/

I think they are meant for MAAAAJOR Credit Card.

It doesn't look sa much like a scam.......just fishing for people with big bucks to blow in Michigan!

I got the same  mailed offer.  We do, unfortunately, have a timeshare.  That may be the way that the lucky benneficiary was selected.  Too good to be true equals scam.

I got the same offer with the same code. I went and filed a small claims case against them for the price of a new tablet. It says I have been awarded one. But when I called I don't qualify. The letter says nothing about needing to qualify for the tablet it says it is mine. I also scanned int the letter in full and sent it to google abuse. My return address says it is from Google and since I do business with Google this is deceptive. Hopefully Google lawyers send a cease and desist to them.

I'm from Las Vegas, NV.  Got a letter about winning a Touchpad Tablet.  These are usually a trick to get you to call them.  They will try to sell you a timeshare.  You have to sit through the presentation and the sales people are ruthless.  If you buy you might get what they promised.  I have been to these things before.  Beware.

o.k...i am a sucker for these deals....win some, lose some.....i'm not at all computer saavy but would like this tablet/android thing....i have to pay 14.95 to activate it and a whoppin 59.95 non-refundable shipping and handling fee....this comes from Product Claim Center from Cherry Hill NJ.  My question is, should I or shouldn't I ?????  It is a Google Android 2.1 .....my plan is to take this voucher to Best Buy to see what they say.   Just don't know if I do get one of these shipped to me if it will be junk....I can say the dining voucher (100.00) was legit.....St. Ives and Tellymore Resort is fabulous and I can only believe they want to deal with a reputable company......just not sure about the product claim center????  anyone with any experience with them?  I can't find anything on line.
    thanks,
    dd

Thanks for your input.  I'm confused by all the comments. this is how timeshare places work, they offer you something to listen to a sales pitch..... That's not a scam. Well I should say I don't believe it's a scam if they give you the tablet, and if it's a reasonable one.   Has anyone gone and received the tablet?  Does anyone know where the coupon is for?

Same "Touchpad Tablet Complete with New Android Software" Call 1-855-394-9949, Offer Number 3899. I doubt the tablet will be worth the $74.90 (14.95 + 59.95) and the hassle of a high pressure sales pitch for a timeshare at Tullymore & St. Ives.

Well I too live in Michigan and received the letter. Did a little research and it is for timeshares. Looks like you can get a google tablet for around $79.99 at some discount places. I will put the link below to review if your interested. Above someone mentioned t it is running Android 2.1 which is relatively outdated since google now offers Android 3.1 Honeycomb. My recommendation is if it is too good to be true forget it. These tablets have really come down in price...so save money..save your time and avoid this scam.

Well, we actually went and responded to the letter, we got sent to a time-share sales pitch in Vegas and after all the sales talk they coughed up vouchers for the Android Tablet and $100 gas card we were promised to receive with no obligation to buy. Of course I was expecting the actual items and not a voucher, but I guess that's the catch. After checking more requirements to send $15 and then another $59.95 all non-refundable and untraceable currency (MO) I decided it's not even worth it and chucked it to a lesson learned: nothing in life is free (and we paid with our time and effort). Here's a link to the said tablet: http://productclaimcenter.com/faq_tablet.html
