Agree with Chris.  I rejected the call; however, I am a Citizens Bank customer who was recently re-issued a debit card due to the Target hacking.  I have not  yet validated my new card, so I can believe this was an auto-reminder.  I don't believe there's anything shady about this number.

Pre-recorded call from Citizens Bank.  They were notifying us that due to the security breach at Home Depot, they were reissuing our debit card, and no further action was needed

This was a valid call. Pre-recorded message that they're changing their debit cards to the cards with the chips in them and to watch for them to come in the mail.

Will not stop calling me. Sometimes they'll actually talk and sometimes they won't. They keep asking if I'm Kristen Kowalsky. I'm not, but they just won't stop calling. Definitely blocking this number.

I continuously get calls from this number but I'm only 14 and I obviously don't have a debit card.

Left VM, said it's Citizen's re: new card, mentioned a name I couldn't understand (supposed to be me), gave an 800 number to call with questions (the scam part I guess?).  Problem is, I've never been a customer of Citizen's Bank, ever.

A message was on my answering machine when I got home but it wasn't for me it was for my son.  After talking with my son, who hasn't lived at home for years, I found out he doesn't even have an account at Citizens Bank and never had one in the past.  Not only that but for any official documents he uses his full name (the call was for his nickname) and his current phone number.  Sounds fishy to me.  I called Citizens Bank and they told me to disregard the call and if the person calls again to hang up on them.

Message said I had a new card coming in the mail due to it being compromised. Called citizens and they said they never issued me a new card and there is no records of this number in their system and not valid and to monitor my account closely. NOT A VALID NUMBER

Maybe "you" do and don't know it. One of the biggest issues with living in the digital age is that your identity could have been stolen or "created" already, something you wouldn't discover until you were over 18 and trying to open your own credit cards, etc... The scary issue is that it's possible that a "fake identity" will have a longer history than the legitimate young adult starting out.

Talked to Citizens and this is legit, if someone files a complaint that their card was compromised by an ATM or a merchant reports a breech, then if you’re a citizens customer or Visa customer the automated response goes out and you will receive a new card in 5-7 days “if you are a Citizens Customer” if not no harm no foul
