    Caller claiming to be a law firm in Milwaukee wi threatening my mother with authorities and contacting me non-stop for payments that are absurd and if I do not pay the cops will arrest me. Is this a scam??

    Consumer debt is not a criminal concern. Trying to shame a person into paying by making bogus threats and discussing debt with the wrong person is illegal. You don't even know if these are genuine lawyers. Read about pertinent federal law and decide for yourself.
