The same call!!! The first time they said from AMG Associates that they were filing a plea of invasion on my behalf, judgement will be rendered and blah, blah, blah....... The second and third time some Fake name of Joe Carter and when i told them to call my lawyer and try to give them the number they REFUSED to take it and tried to intimidate and made a lot of BRAINLESS comments and blah, blah, blah... Please, everybody WHOEVER gets a call from this PARASITES: DO NOT LET THEM scare you, intimidate you or bully you : HANG UP ON THEM !!!!

i am the original poster on this thread! Joe! I put this up here to see who was calling me not to hear some complaint or supposed complaint about this number, i simply wanted to see if this call was legit and your response does NOT help at all... if you have a complaint with the company in question call them, this is not a complaint board!!!

I think it is hilarious that you are bashing the company clearly, bethany and eli are the same poster!!! when is the last time someone used the phrase "blah blah blah"? let alone on the same information board and only 10hrs apart....     does anyone actually ave any real information on who is calling me?

Mike or joe, same guy has called looking for my brother. He shares way to much information on why he is looking for my brother. I have delt with professional, legit collections in the past. Said he would call my friends and family if I did not give him information. I called back and talked to a lady saying that it was a lawyers network. I love taking to these people, I know that they are doing their job. I just cant help keeping them on the phone as long as I can without giving them any information.

Several calls from someone asking where I'm located and need to serve some type of papers.  He wanted me to verify my address and I refused.  He then got irate and started googling several address related to my current job.  Kinda scary.

So many calls.  Glad I saved all those (threatening) voice mails. Tomorrow they will be at my home and place of employment to serve me notice.  I had better be available - or else!  Linda Young/Nina Avery from Private Courier Services.

They prey on people.  They look for any scrap of information. Everything I owe is paid on time and they are hounding me.  Don't let them bully you.  
Here's a good one -  A collector told me I would be arrested I would go to federal prison, because I lied to a federal bank official and they would take my children away and arrest my husband and he would go to prison because of my debt.  I never any accounts with the bank in question.  My child - is an adult in the military. I'm still waiting for the Gestapo id shoe up.

I got a call the other day and Tom left a message to call this number.  Today i get a call from Tom or Don or whatever he said. Gave me the whole got papers to served BS.  He ended up calling me a ignorant cu-t and hung up.  Awe sad.  So i called the number he called from back, left a nice nasty message.  Then I remembered they left me this number via voicemail. So I called this number and they said I had the wrong number and it's been happening a lot today.  But the guy who answered sounded just like the guy who called mfriday.  He has no legal right to do anything.  Just a dude working for a living dealing with ignorant c's like me.     I say bring on the papers dudes!!!

Lol! Let us all know if they show up. I am pretty sure that if they were going to serve you papers they wouldn't call first.  Dur... They are calling me for one of my friends that used me as a reference.  I live for calls like these.

Just got served paperwork for my friend, I signed for it and got it to my friend who told me it was a request to appear.  Looks like they aren't playing around

I got a call from Private Courier Services of ME. I googled that name, and could not find it. The guy said his name was Dan Kerbotsis, and said he wasn't licensed in the state of ME, and didn't need to be but needed to verify my address (which was an old address) because he had documents that I needed to sign for. He wasn't sure what they were for as he was just the processor, and the claimants telephone # was 855-436-9114. He thinks it was an affidavit to appear in court. I told him that in Maine, we would get served those papers by an officer of the law. He said if I called that number then they could give me more information. I called the number and got the voicemail to AMG. I didn't bother leaving a message. If I were to get served papers to appear in court, court would have to be here, in my jurisdiction, and I would be served by a cop.

I just received the same phone call from these ppl at my job for another co worker. It was from "Nina Avery" and she said she need to serve some papers and was getting upset because my co worker was unavailable to speak to her. She called like 3 times and the last time she said some smart remark and then hung up. I'm waiting for them to call back so I could give her a piece of my mind. They are no one to take seriously so don't let them scare you into thinking they are someone real

I keep getting a phone call for someone else from Private Courier Services.  I can't even understand what the lady is saying...something like "sealed document", "request to appear", "cease and desist".  She gives the number 855-436-9114 and a claim number.  She says she will show up at the address on file, but she doesn't tell me what address she has on file.  I plan to ignore this and would have it blocked from my phone, but it's a restricted number.

These sick [***] have been calling my hospitalized mother for the past three months from this
855-436-9114 number. She has been sending them money via prepaid credit card and has not said a word to me. I was furious when I found out. I'm waiting on this Bit....! to call her back now to find out where her payment is. Imma let her have it. There is a special place he HELL for people like this. She left her a message today claiming to have sent the legal services back out because she broke the payment arrangements. Said her name was Ann. People please don't be fooled by these lies the can't do nothing to you.

I have documentation to prove that I have paid the $500 cash advance, but they refuse to give me any physical address to send the documents. Although they assumed to be a debt collecting agency, I cannot confirm that. I possibly suspect that they are operating illegally.

this company is owned by anthony gerace and is a payday loan scam shop working out of 7170 transit rd williamsville ny 14221. report them to attorney general and BBB . they arenot process servers they are bad debt collectors

Just received a call from "Private Courier Services" I answered the phone but since the call was from a private number I pretended to be someone else and take a message.  The person who called, Linda Young proceeded to tell me (a third party) that she is a process server and has legal documents in a sealed package to be served I personally think this is way too much information to be given to someone who is not a party to the case.  This is illegal.  She went on to say that it is very important that a call be made to 877-514-9546 ext 302 so that a "cease and desist" can be issued.............mind you I have spoken to them 2 weeks ago and they are trying to tell me I owe them over 3000 dollars for a 700 payday loan.  I told them I have no money and their best bet is to take me to court because the 1500 dollars they wanted by 3pm that day was not going to happen the man I spoke to who claims to be from a law firm then tried to tell me that if I go to court I will face jail time plus have to pay the court fees along with the $3000 I told "oh well" do what you have to do.  Havent heard back from them until today and after googling the NYS laws regarding payday loans I am not too worried worst case scenario I pay back the loan with a fair interest rate and not the 300 % they charge!

It's a scam folks.  Ignore them.  It's also ILLEGAL for debt collectors to block their phone number when calling you.  Good ADVICE   ---> Don't EVER ANSWER CALLS FROM A NUMBER YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE, OR FROM A WITHHELD OR BLOCKED NUMBER.  They are blocking their number, because they know what they are doing is ILLEGAL.  THEY ARE SCARED!!!!!!!!  Let them leave their [***] voice mails and then laugh at it.  ALSO FOLKS.....IF YOU NEVER RECEIVE A LETTER or ANYTHING in the MAIL, it's VERY LIKELY A SCAM, or an ILLEGAL operation.

Transmitting dud Caller ID does not violate FDCPA. Providing false or misleading data would, though it's difficult to get any Caller ID data entered as admissable evidence.

In the case of a straight-up South Asian fake collector, a given name and number would hardly matter since they're usually bogus and the extortionists are safe from private prosecution by a US citizen.
