Rcvd threatening vm from (?) saying to return call immediately or legal action taken at court house. . . "Kids" don't fall for this. No one can start legal action over phone w/o prior registered mail notification. Call FCC and report

I received the same threatening VM abut 30 minutes ago.  I really like how the dude pauses and then some automated system said my name.  Block this one!

received call claiming legal action was about to be taken against John Shoffler? requesting information on whereabouts.When I pressed a number to continue, the rude-[***] [***] who answered disconnected the second I said the person was unknown.

I just received a phone call from this number regarding legal action against me. I did press the number and was transferred to a VM at Ext. 146.

I just got a call a messege saying call this number back they are trying to locate individual and paperwork will be extended and if they don't don't hear from "said" person, then papers will be proceeded with local county court house. Doesn't mention who he looking for and he has a deep voice. Doesn't mention his name. Doesn't say his name.

Same thing happened to me just now.  They left me a vm  with the same thread about taking legal action if. And how there was a foreal complain .

Rcv'd message saying that are looking for me "Kevin". To contact them immediately before legal action.

I just got a call from these people telling me they would have sheriff come and serve mei then stated they didn't have my address and they said we can find you, and then stated would you like to settle in court or out of court for $430 because they supposibly put money in my account in 2013 and that account has been closed since then.

If there were complaints and paperwork will be filed against me, they would have come to my house. Stupid.

Same here, just another bunch of scammers who try to leech $$$ out of people.  Such a shame there have to be bottom feeders like this.

This is either a scam or an incompetent bill collector, or both.

A voice mail was left on my house phone at 8:50 A.M. on April 6, 2016.

It was a deep male voice (which I think is deliberate to be more threatening) telling me that a formal complain has been filed against, and just as he started to say my wife's first name, a recording came on and said the name of someone with the same last name as ours but someone I have never heard of.

The male voice then goes on to say that if we have any information on the whereabouts of this person press 1 to speak to someone or call back 855-443-8715.

He then said the next step is to file paperwork at the local county court.

I blocked their number on my phone and reported them to the Attorney generals’ Office

Received a recorded message regarding verification about my spouse and it stated a formal complaint would be started. Appears to be a security breech of some type by scammers. Wife called number back and asked them for their name,address and website, but was told they could not provide the information??? Women on other end stated a pay-day loan company from 3 years ago is owed. We never used a Pay-day loan company, EVER!!!! She then said.. "Good luck in court" and then hung up the phone abruptly. Give me a break!!!! I feel sorry for elderly folks who will fall for this mess.

I got this same call. Yesterday and they were saying that they was looking for someone with my name and that the legal papers were going to start

Received a call stating someone was going to have papers filed if we didn't call back. Inserted name was inaudible from the original call I returned the call and supposedly  our cousin had given our name and number as a reference. When I asked what the call was about, the lady abruptly hung up!!!  #scam

They call family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.

Received a call from this # stating they were looking for an individual and they needed to know the whereabouts if not legal actions were going to be taken with the local courthouse. No name given of the individual he was looking for.

so is this real or what? I just got one is it a bill collector?

Received phone call from 855-443-8715 and they even called my Daughter in another state looking for me. How they are getting this information is getting me. They have to be getting into your credit somewhere. I called the Inst. they were speaking about. The branch called their phone number with me online and they were rude. This is potentially fraud. Block your phone number from this number and report it to the police.
