This is a debt collection agency and they call using all different 800 numbers . I just let it go into voice mail screw them.

I got a call from this number and it was a man with some kind of accent saying he was looking for Thomas Miller.  Told him no one by that name here and he said, you don't know him?  I said no, you are calling a wrong number.  He said ok, have a good night, after I asked who he was and who he represented, North Star Location Services.

Also called my cell with almost identical situation as above.  Didn't ask for me but someone else.  They did leave a voicemail.

Called my mobile number and was phishing for information on someone else. Every time I asked to be removed from the list they said "I will..." and then asked another question. They finally said "this number was listed as a possible home number" and then I hung up.

They are phishing for relatives of someone they are trying to do a debt collection from. My cell phone is not published, nor am I the person owing the debt. Losers! Get a real job.

They called me today looking for a relative.  I didn't answer so they left a voicemail.  On their message they said who the call is for and if I am not that person to hang up.  They said if I listen to their message I will be verifying I am that person.  Hey, it's my voicemail and if I want to listen to it I will do so.  It's not like they are going to stop calling me.  LOL

BBB has seen a major increase in collection agencies starting business in the Upstate New York area over the past several years. In an effort to keep consumers informed about which collection agencies are operating in accordance with federal and state law, we have asked for specific information from all collection agencies located in our service area, including proof of licensing, bonding, and or registration required by NY state or other governments where the business is located, as well as proof of licensing required by any state in which the business operates. This collection agency has not responded to our requests. BBB advises consumers to be aware of their rights in regard to collections. This includes New York States law prohibiting any collection agency from collecting on Payday loans in the State of New York. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) outlines prohibited behavior when attempting to collect a debt, and outlines specific rights for consumers. There are penalties for agencies found in violation of the Act. BBB advises consumers to become familiar with their rights under the Act, which can be found at the Federal Trade Commission’s Website at: ftc.gov . Consumers can file with us at bbb.org/complain.
