Will S. from Gigats - Applied online for a position yesterday.  Got redirected to a page that said to call this number - first showed 855-460-8717 for a phone interview.  Got text this morning as a reminder. Said he is an employment specialist and can guarantee 1 job lead per day, then starts talking about furthering my education.  Then get transferred to "education specialist."  Then she wants to transfer me to college representative.  Hung up.  Verified my address, e-mail, dob about 3 times.  Don't know how my application got hijacked, but be careful when applying online.  He did not even mention the name of the company that I had applied to - just mentioned that I had applied yesterday.

Thanks for your information on 855-460-8717.  I applied for a job just 10 minutes ago with what I thought was Eastside Medical Center.  After entering my information into their website, I was redirected to this "Gigats" website where they wanted me to call in to the 855 number to "complete registration".  It looked suspicious and I backed out.  Did a little research and found your note.  Thanks.  Its unfortunate that there are folks looking for work and get approached by scam artists such as this one at "Gigats".

Thanks so much for the information.  Unfortunately, I am getting a lot of calls from people since I have been applying for jobs on-line.   And, some are really rude.   Before I can ask them to remove my number they hang up.   I will not be calling this number thanks to your post.

Same just happened to me. I started to apply for a job yesterday, got redirected and backed out instead of calling. Now they're texting me asking for a call. I too have received several calls from random phone numbers since I started applying for jobs. SMH.

I just got this text.  I've been getting calls from "career centers" lately, since my wife and I have been applying online for me.  I do remember being re-directed to this Gigats site, when I was applying for a job at a local Costco.  They wanted me to register online and I too backed out.  Since the last two calls I googled were telemarketers, I've been checking since.  And something about getting a text message to call, doesn't sit well.   I've followed advice and blocked the last two calls, so, this might be another.  I think what is happening here these people are copying other actual job search sites, tweaking it enough to make it look legit, then they get you.  I for one, like this Gigats site, never put in any information.  How they got my number, is beyond me.

Applied for an airline job I got on my email. Got a guy from Gigats. He asked me about my work history and education background. I told him I had an associates degree in business and 2 bachelors degree business and marketing and was working on an MBA. (All true not a lie) He kept on asking me if I wanted to go to college which I told him NO. He asked why and I told him I am 51(which I am) and I at a point in my life in which I don't want to go to college unless I absolutely have to. He put me on hold for 2 minutes and kept asking me if I could go to school to better myself why wouldn't I go. I stated that I have degrees and if they paid for an accredited college like Ohio State and I didn't have to pay for anything I'd be game. I eventually hung up on him because I have no time to debate this. He tried calling several times. He WILL be blocked.

I too received a call from a robotic Will, who is supposedly an employee specialist. All it is is a hack for continuing education. The robot did not know how to take no for an answer. Steer clear as human contact is much better than a robot.

Yep...same for me.  Applied for a position at a local business and got a place to schedule my phone interview for this job.  They confirmed this so called interview and gave me a number to call.  As all of you, it sounds like you are being interviewed for the job you applied for but not so....redirected to a company call Gigets.
