don't even bother..it's a scam.  they call themselves Check systems recovery but if you call the number they won't even tell you why they're calling and then they hang up on you.  they try to scare you by saying to have your attorney call them, but won't say for what or who they're collecting for.  when i said they had to tell me who they were collecting for the guy got irrate and said that they were not a collection company and that all my calls were documented...they're ridiculous..don't waste your time

I just gat a call from these people and they left a message on my phone. Telling me that he just received this account he gave me a file # and said he would be at my home or work the next day and to have a photo ID ready and that I need to sign some papers. I have no clue what its about and I really hope he doesn't show up at my work...that is so unprofessional.

Did they ever call your work or come to your home or work like tbey threatened? I worry about that my home would be one thing but my work no way. He said he was gonna have some papers for me to sign and to have ID ready.

Did they ever come by? They called me saying the same thing from a blocked number saying her name is Tara young..

They keep calling my husband saying all the same stuff I'm reading.  There going to come to his work, they have papers for him, they wont say who the represent just client.  Today they called his mother.  We only have cell phones so I wonder how he got the numbers our his mothers number.

OMG! I got the same call from Tara Young. Scared me! they also had my mothers name on some "attachment" She said she was faxed a legal document with my name and social and there was a claim against me. She said that I had been placed on her schedule for serice tomorrow. I called my mom and she had no clue either. At least other people have got the same call. I hope to God its just a scam.

I am so glad I decided to google this number.  I have received this type call before and it was a scam trying to get information to collect a debt.  No company was named a to whom they were collecting.  The internet is an awesome tool to identify false companies trying to rip you off.  I am glad to know they will not call or come to your place of employment.

They will keep on calling too.  About a month after they will start calling from blocked/private numbers again, every number they know you've ever had.  The only clue you have is when they start the call with your name wondering if it's you, and then bam let the rudeness begin.

i just got a call from a private number and she gave me this number to call and a case number. she said when i call them, they will call her or she will come to my house to serve me some papers.

Debt is not a criminal offense!!! They are a scam!!! They will not come to your house or place of employment.  If they call you just tell them you'll have your attorney contact them.  It should shut them up.  They called me today and said they had been to my house and place of employement.  I'm a stay at home mom and I haven't seen anybody here.   I've had calls in the past from companies telling me the same thing.  I was scared at first until I talked to an attorney who told me to tell them that he would contact them and Bam just like that calls stopped!!  I told the Lady today that I would be waiting for her on Monday with my attorney.  Lol she hung up on me!

for the last 3 days, i have been getting calls from a restricted number telling me that they have a notice of intent papers for me to sign and I will need to have 2 state forms of ID ready and give me a file number..  They say they are coming to my home or to my work...never specific...just say to be ready.  They say the only way to stop this action is to call 855-461-0742.  The man says his name is Michael Smith.  I am glad I have found this sight and will not call this number back.  I was scared until I read all of these posts.  I agree.....debt is not a criminal offense!!

i have gotten the same calls from this lady named Tara Young saying that she will be at my house or work place tomorrow between 12 and 6. she says she has my name and social on this claim and that i have been notified. Lady please I have been in debt for a long time and i know how it goes by  now. give it a rest. I wish she would come to my house or work place!

They called my dad and said they would meet him the next day with some papers.  Did not ask for ID, just said he could call this number (gave file number) if wanted to.  Since I have POA over his finances, I called.  They asked me to fax over proof (said sent to attn: Jessica Gugino).  Before I faxed, I checked this site, and BINGO, decided not to fax anything.  Told my dad to tell them he will have his attorney's office contact them in case they call again.

I received a call at work, but the number had a 718 area code.  He stated his name was Agent Freedis and stated I was going to get sued in my county for a bad check.  I then told him I haven't wrote any checks and have no idea what he's talking about.  He then brought up a debt I had.  Thats when I knew it was fake.  I asked him for his name and the company and he told me he was with Check Systems Recovery.

I told him at that point, do not call my job again... this is my work line and if they want to handle things in court, do so.

He was fine with this and hung up.
