Called my cell phone then hung up on me.

Called at 11am 07 Aug & 12p 05 Aug, 11:30am 04 Aug, but didn't leave a message.  May belong to Cox Communications.

Calls every day, I don't answer, they leave no message

They call severl times a month. No idea who it is. Do not recognize the number and they never leave a message. Must not be important!

Cox Cable Marketing and Promotions

Disconnected my Cox Cable service. Now they call me twice a day to bug me.

Used *69 to call back. Agent answered, identifying as Cox Communications. Unwanted phone call received on home phone line provided by Cox. I requested to be removed from the call list. Agent said this would be done, but the process could take up to 30 days and that I may receive more calls during that time.

This is one of the many numbers for cox cable trying to sell you more services.

or if you owe them money they use the same number but they will transfer to the collection or billing department.

Have received a call from this number 15 times so far this month. Never leave a msg and when picks up, the caller hangs up or disconnects

Caller ID says "UNAVAILABLE".  They leave no message.

I no longer return toll free calls.

Others have claimed that this is Cox communications.  I am pretty sure they are not even an option in my town.  I have never been a customer, nor have I ever contacted them.  I googled them.  Their website was down.  Wikipedia claims they are still in business but have scaled back part of their operation.  I doubt this is actually Cox.  Perhaps this is a phishing scheme.

One other site had a report that this was an IRS scam.

Whoever this is, is definitely a lowlife because whoever would call my father's house looking for me and then bogusly threaten a lawsuit is the lowest life on the planet. Somebody Stop them.

They called again.  Today the caller ID says "CRNC".  That's the college Republicans.  Looks like an old Cox phone number has been transferred to a political telemarketer.

Thank you for this service.  Have frequently gotten calls from this number, 855-461-4796, with only the message NOT PROVIDED appearing on my phone screen.  If indeed this is Cox, for sure they are not an option for any type of service in my area.

Called me on a Sunday afternoon. Comes up as unavailable and did not answer.
