- mac9I just got off the phone with a company that has called me 12 times in the last 2 weeks, I ignored the calls and of course they did not leave a message, but got so sick of them I finally answered. They told me they could get my credit card interest rates down dramactically. They first asked for my credit card numbers which, (through a lot of trusting the worst people in the world, I've come to learn the hard way that when someone calls you, or if you respond to an infomercial or some deal to good to be true, and after giving your credit card information for something you think you are purchasing for 2 - 5 dollars, you find out...lets see, the worst was something advertised for $2,99 and after they got my card, I was billed 3 monthly fees of $39.00 each they claimed was "shipping and handling"...finally got my bank to fight it, took six months), anyway, wouldn't give out my credit card numbers, though they did assure me this would cost me nothing, it was a government service they were required to provide so that they could prevent the banks from ripping us off!!! They told me to find my bills and they could get info from them and they would call back. They did, from a different number, the caller ID said "Loyal Financial", but they said they were from "AMA "Account Management Assistance". I asked for a phone number that I could reach them at, they said they didn't have one, I asked for an address, they said they weren't allowed to give it out, I asked for a website, they said that since the government changes it's rules so often, they would have to change their website so often they chose not to have a website, so after the phone caller got a supervisor, who assured me she would never rip me off, I again asked for a phone number and name, she said she couldn't give it out, so I said "then neither can I give my credit card numbers out...she slamed the phone down! Well...I believe it IS a scam...you think soooo! :) Phone number was (407) 367-5718.

- JoAnnI received a call this morning not from the above numbersss, but same compaany. The call came from 417/800-2363. Just like most of the complaints, I spoke with one person who asked some questions, and when she was comfortable that I was interested (which I was not but wanted to see how far this would go) she connected with someone who claimed to be a supervisor. When I started asking her questions about her company she became quite annoyed. I let her know that I do Credit Counseling and fully understand what they were trying to offer. At some pointt I realized I was talking to myself as she hung up on me. I'm sure this is a scam if ever there was one.
