- Jim| 19 repliesWe've been getting a call every evening around 8:30 pm which displays from 855-477-6313 on our caller I.D. I tried answering it and there was no response. So, I tried calling the number and was greeted by a voice mail that did not identify the party called but told me to leave a detailed message and phone number and they would call me back. I didn't leave a message this time but if the calls keep coming in every evening I may have to leave a message so I can determine who's calling.
- Jim replies to Jim| 16 repliesThis is an update to my original submission. I finally tracked down the party that is responsible for the phone calls we've been getting. It comes from the Los Angeles office of a charitable organization called "nspire outreach" with headquarters apparently based in Atlanta. I went to their website that displays the name of their executive director along
with his e-mail address. I used this address to express my concern and got an immediate reply which assured me that our number was/would be removed from their call list.
For those who might object to the late evening phone calls like we did, I am furnishing
the name and e-mail address of the contact I used to put an end to the calls.
Gregg Kennard, exec. director
nspire outreach

- Raisa FaymanThis company calls our house almost every 20 min to half an hour. Couple times they called at 5:00 a.m. When we answer, there is no one on line.

- Diane replies to JimThank you so much for the information about that extremely annoying late night phone calls from nspire outreach. I sent Gregg and email and I sure hope it works
- ANGRYGRAMMAcalled me on 5/15/12 at 6:27pm. No message, we weren't home. Sounds like this "charity group" is using a 3rd party to call and this 3rd party is using a robocall system and violating the robocall rules. I'd file a complaint for any call before 9am or after 9pm. FYI. Charities have to follow some rules, they don't get carte blanche. I simply refuse to deal with charities that hire a 3rd party to solicit. I choose my charities, I am very picky and they had better have their administrative costs under 20%. Over that and BLEEP.
- Caller: unavailable, bur NSpire
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- ANGRYGRAMMA| 3 repliesThey called me again at 8:13pm and asked for a name that I recognize as the victim of ID theft whose name was attached to our address and phone number. It is a very unusual name and I got a hold of this person and told them to check their credit ratings, etc. I told them it was a name associated with ID theft and to quit calling.

- Dave| 1 replyWhy call California residents on a daily bases.. Just RUDE
- ANGRYGRAMMA replies to ANGRYGRAMMA| 2 repliesThese BLEEPING idiots called again tonight, asking for the same person as last time, which I know is a victim of ID theft whose name and address were attached to our address and phone number. I told them two months ago that this was the problem and I told them again. If they call one more time, I will give them a piece of what comes out of a horse's rear end. Yes, I have a horse.
- ANGRYGRAMMA replies to deleted postIf it is for people in Georgia, why are they calling me in CA? If this is a great charity and you aren't a shill, how come they are ignorant, rude, and keep calling when they are told to stop calling? HMMM? Any charity that hires a 3rd party to call and annoy people, IS NOT a great charity in my book. How much of the total received actually goes to the charity and not salaries and "overhead"? If it is less than 80% then it does not meet BBB standards for a charity. HMMMM?
- ANGRYGRAMMA replies to ANGRYGRAMMA| 1 replyChecked my caller ID log and these BLEEPERS called on Tuesday night too. There have to be some rules for charities too.
- angrygramma replies to ANGRYGRAMMAI did send an email to the place suggested above. He replied and said he would take my number off his list. I also told him to check out this website and see what kind of impression his callers were making. I suggested some serious education for his staff. They could sure use it.
- not Michael replies to deleted postCharities are exempt from the Do Not Call list law. The calls are legal. But telemarketing is very expensive, Even a legitimate charity, the company making the calls gets 70% of every donation, the charity only gets 30%. In this case the charity must be paying for the calls with money they got by another means.
Anyone who calls my home begging is unwelcome. I do not deal with any organization that calls me without prior written permission. When I have clothing to donate I give it to the local homeless shelter. I suggest others do the same. - BuddyReceived call at 8:55 pm 7/18. They have called several times. Don't answer and they don't leave a message. I don't do telephone solitations over the phone. I only give to organizations I know and I only do for local organizations. We have enough people in California in need without giving to homeless in Georgia.
Who knows if they actually have a 501C3.- Caller: Charitable

- Barbara WalkerPlease stop this number from calling my house
- Vince replies to deleted postThe fact that they call my house MUTIPLE time a day does not bode well for them. At this point I don't care what good they have done in the past. They have worn out their welcome with me.
- vince replies to deleted postIf you love them soooo much, perhaps you should contact them and suggest they change tactics. The internet is full of people who are completely digusted with this charity and their phone MANIPULATION!
- NCJI finally had to block their phone number, just SO sick of their constant calls. I've blocked all the super pests using Digitone Call Blocker. It works like a charm. No, I don't work for them, but their blocker has saved my sanity!

- BarbaraJust because its charitable and keeps it expense-to-value ratio at a reasonable level (if it does so), still does not vouch for the way its managed or where the money goes, nor does it make it a top choice for our contributions.
Annoying callers this way, and being unavailable when you answer the phone, certainly doesn't vouch for its good judgement either. This is a good way to get nothing from me.- Caller: 800 Service
