I just called my Attorney Generals Office and she said to find out if they are licensed, and if so there is a number to call in your state to report these people. I hope this helps.
I just received the same call about a debt to HSBC

this number has been calling my daughter threatening with civil suit. She is a minor. They did not identified whose company this is from or any other information. The person that called her is Tom Smith.

I called them and they said there # was 123456789   and the company name is Aughnero Partners

855-479-7362 is run by scammers. A phony lawsuit scam to be exact.   Tell them to go take a flying fu___

Update-  I found out this 855 toll free number is owned/provided to these scammers by Paetec(Now Windstream Business)

A co-worker received a call about me where the caller "Lisa" asked to speak to my supervisor. I told him it was total scam. I put the call to my voice mail. Threatening legal action, blah, blah, blah.  I am not worried.  The FTC and FBI have been putting these criminals in jail, finally.  Their time will come.

This place was cool to me to told me if I payed my debt I will no longer worry about so I did then waited a few days and contacted the place I owed money to and they said it was no longer a issue so I'm happy weight off my shoulders and no more calls

I never knew a debt collector that was nice to someone they called! They talked like trash to me but you know something, I talked like trash even better and louder back to the no good bags of trash!!!!!! So Susan, Samatha, Jack henry, Mike, etc etc. you are full of S***!

You might come back to read this, so just in case. You can contact, local law enforcement, Attorney General online, FTC online, and if they are threatening your daughter, a little child, FBI, may help you.

Called my husbands number threatening legal action, never gave a company name but said his name was Richsrd Wells.  Reading the other reports tells me this is a total scam.
