Blue Cross Blue Shield supposedly calling to discuss health plan.

We got calls too, left voicemails. Called  Blue shield and they have no knowledge of this health assessment calls.  We will not be returning their calls

I received a call from this number saying it was in regards to my daughters Medicaid coverage. They did not say it was from blue cross. We will not be calling back either.

Called tonight at 8PM...  Called back and it was just Medicaid BCBS that I signed up for... Just asking questions...

They didn't ask for any credit card or social number so all good...

All they asked at first was my DOB.... Then after that he read off ALL my information.

Said they were BCBS getting a health assessment.  Once I gave them my DOB they seemed to have all of my information: address, phone number, etc.  Do not make the same mistake I made.  Make it your policy that you do not answer any personal questions over the phone.  As for health assessment isn't that what your PCP is supposed to do when you visit their office?  Politely just say you will have your doctor do a health assessment and wish them a good day and hang up.

I received a voicemail from this suspicious number who claimed they were Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and wanted to speak with me. I looked the number up in the internet and there was almost no info on it. The only website with this number says it was based in Birch St, Lufkin, Texas. The homepage of that website was 404 (non-existent). I called an official number of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and the lady representative looked it up. She says her company has no records of the number. Another number to block. To others who are reading this, do not give your personal info to an unknown number you do not recognize especially if it's an 800 number. Contact Blue Cross's official number to verify if it's a legit number.

Called knowing my first name saying it was BCBS...they gave me a bugus last name when I responded with my last name he repeated it and apologized for calling the wrong number! Fat chance. This lady fish in and I fell for it by just blabbing it out.

They say it's Blue Cross Blue Shield and ask for some random name. Don't bother returning the call.

Was called by that number to do a Health assessment for BCBS.
At first I started verifying my information and then it made me wonder if that was really them so I told them I will call back. I actually called the number behind my insurance card and explain to them the phone call I received and BCBS said that they are currently calling people to do a health assessment for next years enrollment. I felt a little better after that and the rep connected me to that department.

They called asking for all sorts of info, indicating they were BCBS.  Sounded fishy.  I called BCBS and it was indeed BOGUS--tell them to [***] off and  hang up

Interesting since the poster just before you said he called BCBS and they told him it  was not their number.  I guess we then have to ask why you would have looked up a number when you knew who it belonged to and allegedly knew that it was a legitimate call?

Number is calling me 3 times a day in rapid succession. Sounds phony, so I answered once to tell them to f* off and it was just the same "this is BCBS, calling for the parent or guardian of *nonsense sounds*" with a bs case number.

BCBS will not contact this way, knows to send me mail/email, and knows I am an independent with no dependents. This is not BCBS IL.

I have auto rejected the number but they are still leaving me the same 46 second voicemail (or 3 second one).
I'm going to punch this person.
