I received a call on May 20, 2013 from this number.  The man sounded foreign and said he was from Wellmark.  He had my name and birth year and asked me to confirm my birth month and day so he would know it was me he was speaking to.  He wanted to discuss a plan that Wellmark offered.  I did not provide this information and asked him how I knew who he was and he willingly gave a number to call back at my convenience. I hung up and dialed that number and the initial recording says it is Wellmark and low and behhold when the phone was answered it was the same guy that initially called.  I hung up and called the actual Wellmark number to report this and they are sending it up the ladder to the supervisors.  The initial "real" recording from Wellmark is clearly not the same one that originates from the 855-484-9160.  Beware!

I also received the same type of phone call from unknown caller: 855-484-9160. I called Wellmark.com and reported it today. Does not sound legitimate.

I received a call from this number today. A woman with an accent said she was from Wellmark and wanted to speak to the parents of my son. I would not confirm my son's date of birth unless she told me what it was regarding first, and she said she could not say without the DOB. I called Wellmark customer service and they said that was not a number for them or any of their contractors and they had no notation for anyone needing to call me.

Recieved several calsl from this number. Like everyone above, called Wellmark. Their Customer Service dept says that this was not one of their numbers. Nor any of their contractors and they had no notation for anyone needing to contact me.

Not actually Wellmark. Definitely some sort of scam.

This number is a valid Wellmark BCBS number. They are calling for several reasons but it does not have to do with claims or benefits. Usually they are telling you about a new program or service available. They only ask for your DOB and if you press they will give you the year so you know they have it already.

I received a call from this number today with a recorded call stating that it was from Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Recieved a call today. I missed the call, they left a message saying from Wellmark and that it was not an issue with my policy or benefits but that she would call another time.  No return number was left. The only thing that seemed odd on the recording is it was hard to hear because of static on thier end.

Why doesn't Wellmark have/use a caller ID so we can determine it's legitimate?

barraged with calls- for past 4 days.  definitely a scam...unfortunately 'another' may have given some info when they answered...tho i told them to STOP calls

Wellmark may or maynot be a scam, but in general, if they are calling after you have told them NOT to call, that means they will actually be calling you MORE, since they know they have a "good" number with a live person on the other end of the phone who believes in Sany Claus, the Easter Bunny and Jackalopes.   Better to block the calls.  I mean, asking telemaggots  not to call is making your point the hard way.     ps - the Jackalopes are real, I was just funnin'  you there....

Have received calls several times from someone claiming to be from Wellmark. This crook asked for my wife by name. I hung up, knowing that it isn't from Wellmark and must be some type of scam. A legit call from Wellmark would show up as Wellmark in the caller ID.

I received this call today. They claimed to be from BCBS. They had my name and birthdate. I didn't confirm anything with them and they said they couldn't complete the survey without it. I told them it was fine I didn't have their insurance anymore anyway.

I received a call from this number also today.  Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I also got a message from this number, said it was from Wellmark. They said to call back. I called back and the recording said to call another number! Umm no thanks

Talking about a case filed against me and they need my SSN and birthday. It's a scam they keep.calling
