- Garrett SoloJust called my cell phone. Pre-recorded message with my name inserted at several points.
Claimed that this concerned an "Intent to file" against me and that I had to call some number back within a certain number of minutes.
I don't know what "intent" they're talking about but I have no debt to anyone. I hung up before the message finished.
Most likely phony debt collectors.

- damian| 2 repliesthe # called me, and when i answered, it was a recording saying about an "intent to file" and some claim numbers. i called the number and a guy with a pretty intimidating voice claimed that i am being sued. when i started asking questions about "plaintiff" and the nature of circumstances, he won't answer my question. he's more intetested of telling me how my responsibility is going to pile high and that i am going to jail. when i asked if it was a scam, he hung up.
- BigA replies to damianWhy ask? As soon as he said jail you should have had no doubts that it was a crook trying to steal money from you.

- Dad from TNthey called MY cell, looking for my wife becasue they wanted to let her and I know that someone is filing a theft of services claim against her. I didn't cofirm or deny any anything and they eventually transferred me to someone else. "Michael McCoy " at CC Associates in NYC. "Michael" said it was a screw up and the apologzed and hung up. creepy
- Caller: CC Associates
- VaThis # has been calling my parents phones (whom have been divorced for years and I don't live with either of them) telling them that there is a complaint against me for theft and a couple other things and that charges are going to be filed. They do have my name, address, and at least the last 4 of my social number. This is crazy. Scam!!!!
- Caller: "Consumer complaint corp."
- MhHugh scam!!! They look up your info and try get you to pay them a settlement over the phone,,, um no just hang up!!! Will not give you the name of the company they say is suing you and say that any documents that you might want concerning any payment are not available to you that you will have to hire an attorney and sue to get them....
- Caller: Law suit

- Mh replies to damianThey said the same thing to me so annoyed and hung up on him
- No money!!!| 2 repliesMy parents received a call ask8ng for me. They called me with the information, including a reference number. The man, Micheal McCoy said I was being persued in a case of theft of services and asked for me to settle out of court for a set amount or be charged with thousands of court fees if it goes to court... threatened my husband's wages and gave me the weekend to get the money to them by Monday.
- Caller: C.C.A.
- MJG replies to No money!!!Read BigA's explanation above a few other posts - you are being harassed by a debt collector who is making ILLEGAL threats. IF there really were charges, you would have received a summons by now. Also wage garnishment is done by COURT ORDER - not because a debt collector says so. Demand a WRITTEN document of this ""debt"" that is MAILED to you . It must name THEIR company & address, original creditor information, dates, amounts, etc. You will probably get more threats & excuses but no paperwork.
- MeaThey called asking for my mother. The prerecorded message was of a man, who was talking really slowly. Didn't bother calling back. I know if someone's calling for her on my cell, it's a total scam.
- Not gonna be scammedThey called my cell looking for my wife. Talked about "theft of service", other unnamed offenses. The caller was "Michael McCoy" from CCA. Wanted to save us time and money by offering reduced payment - if made immediately. Definitely a scam.

- G. THOMPSONI got the same call just now, the guy on the other end talked fast so you couldn't understand what company he was supposedly calling from, or his number. I was able to make a good guess at the number and found it. The call came from a different number; 804-596-2533. I'm assuming it's a scam.

- Nice tryBeen receiving these messages for about a month now. Same claims....my county of residence is going to file against me for some unknown reason, this call is being recorded and documented blah blah blah. Guess what? It's a huge phishing scam. The first time they called, they claimed they had returned mail from my address....which they repeated on the voicemail but left out some of the address. My address is up to date on my credit bureaus and the DMV so if this was real, they would have the correct information. Also, these morons screwed up by calling me not 30 minutes after the first voicemail they left me and they left another voicemail. Same scenario but this time for someone of a completely different name, city, state, etc. These jerks are leaving messages for my family members and embarrassing me. I highly suggest you report them to the FTC and your state attorney general. I know I did.
- Caller: CCA
- Heather MitchellSaid they were Jean Matthews and calling about a complaint that was returned from my address and they were going to file in my jurisdiction with my local county clerk and let them know if I'm cooperating or not. They gave complaint number and also called my husband with the same message. Said we had to call by the end of the business day with my statement. Nothing has ever been delivered to our house or returned so not sure and wouldn't someone local be doing that?? Not sure if scam or not but it sounds like that so how would they get all your info?? And my husbands as wel?
- Caller: They didn't say
- Paty replies to No money!!!I just go the same call but I think it. Is a scam what do you think
