Received call from this number asking permission to do a required safety inspection on a property.  Wanted to clarify with tenant.  Tried calling number back in less than 10 minutes and was told they were closed.  Tenant had no idea who they are or anything about an inspection.

they called me yesterday  from this number asking permission to inspect my gas meter . they told me it was a required safety inspection and i had to do it . i said okay and scheduled an appointment and told them that i would check online to make sure that they were who they said they were and if i had any problems i would call them back to change the appointment .  well i had to call them back and all i got was a computer generated song that played over and over i hung up after 3 to 4 minutes of listening to it . here is the song that it played ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjLz1VDDuHQ   )

i did finally get threw to them . what happened was my call got answered immediately and put on hold without even talking to anyone. so the music was the on hold music . this is really unprofessional the way they handle the incoming phone calls

Weird phone call on a Saturday morning at 8:30 am. The call kept breaking off and could hardly be heard even though the volume on our answering machine was turned all the way up. The caller said something about a safety inspection of our gas meter. I will call Columbia Gas on Monday to verify that this is true.

This is a legit call from Bermex, which is a third party contractor that performs services for Columbia Gas. They called to reconfirm our appointment for the next day. Ohio requires all indoor meters to have a safety inspection every two years; outdoor, every three years. It takes only a few minutes for the inspection.

Why Columbia Gas doesn't let customers know that they might get a call from Bermex is beyond me. Sometimes companies are just brain dead.

Same as all other reports here, called to schedule safety inspection on my gas meter. The problem is, my house is all electric and I don't even have a gas meter. It may be legitimate, but they're not getting current information from Columbia Gas. I have never had a gas meter inspected.

I picked up in the middle of the recorded call. Now I don't have the number to call to call for a gas meter inspection appointment.  Does anyone have their number? Thank you!
