- MOON replies to VivianWhy do you say contact a attorney ASAP? They have contacted me telling me that if i dont pay a amt that they will serve me by authorities at my job? When i call and ask for their physical address they are all very rude and will not give it out they just say they are located in Atlanta Georgia. When i ask for a bill before i pay they tell me that they will send a bill after i make my payment. The guy's name is supposedly John Sears.
- V.Clark| 1 replyI received a call that showed "unknown" on the caller ID and left a voice-mail advising me to call 855-345-1107 within 72 hours. The caller identified himself as Mark Duncan or Duntin, but he speaks with an unmistakable accent. I called the number back and spoke with a woman, who said I could settle this matter without court if I paid them $602, but if I was summoned, then there would be all these attorney fees and court costs added to about $3000. So I asked for the settlement agreement in writing before I pay them my money. She referred me to a gentleman who became argumentative with me and REFUSED to send any type of documentation UNTIL after I pay in full. He told me that it would be placed under a "hot check" law and I questioned him, if it was a hot check, then why wouldn't someone local get in touch with me. A "hot check" should go to the county in which you write the check in. He proceeded to tell me that the individual on my voice-mail WAS a local officer and that I was just referred to them for "litigation". After further arguing with me, he lowered my settlement pay-off down to $450. I asked for his extensions so I can get back with him because I was at work, he gave me his and his supervisors extension #, and told me his name was "Mr. Gray", and supervisor was "Mr. Williams". I guess he forgot that HE was the one on my voice-mail message, like I said his accent and flamboyancy are UNFORGETTABLE, saying his name was Mark Duntin?? More holes in his story than swiss cheese!! Is this a scam?

- ShillKill replies to V.ClarkThis is a group of scammers operating out of the Atlanta GA area. As to Universal Mediations, LLC, they seem to have been exposed quite well in a recent series of postings in another thread. See:

Said she might have paid the bill but it was regarding the breaking of the contract. Refused to give the company address. The only thing "Terry Jones" would tell me was that it was Universal Litigation out of Atlanta and that they "process paperwork for various cases". Would not tell anything else.

- mitch replies to meganI got a call from this number 1-888-426-3120 Monica Lewis, she called my son first! Same BS story that I owed a pay day loan , I did use pay day and paid them off. PAY DAY kept taking money out of my bank account so I closed the account. I called the number back and they said they can make a deal if I paid them with my credit card. I asked for them to email me with all the information and account numbers of what I owed. They never did. I called and they said they sent it to the wrong address. His name was Dave Rutledge. I cancelled my credit card and will not pay them the rest of what they said I owed them.
- Christina replies to Tania Marrero| 3 repliesThey told me the same thing but I have an attorney and he told me not to give them anything that he will contact them. Because they won't give physical address or let me mail a payment they want debit or credit Information. That is a red flag!!
- Been there done that replies to Christina| 2 repliesYes it's a total scam! I fell for it and my bank is in the process of filling a fraudulent charge for me this week. Don't pay them anything! They also use 888 594 8320
- Stressed out replies to Been there done thatThank you so much. I just received a call from them on my job on yesterday and was about to set up payment. The lady's name was Sheila Allen. The number she called from was 1-888-767-8926. I thought it was kind of strange that when I asked her if she could email the information, she claimed that they only send confirmations of payments in full.
- Denise replies to Been there done thatBig time scam, they have done the same thing to me, payday loan, no documentation,
stupid me I gave them bank info a few weeks, they got $300 and then my friend works in a law office
and I gave her the info, needless to say, scam written all over, it, I called my bank on Wed of this wee,
filed a claim and will gladly fill out the paperwork when I get it. the bank has already put the $300 back in my account and when Universal called me yesterday to say the next $100 did not go thru my bank yesterday, I told Eric White that I was advised to not give them another dime until they send me documentation, and that the # he told me to call back was showing up as a hotel in CA,and when I brought that to his attention, he also said Atlanta GA. I informed him again, no $ without documentation, asked him if he wanted my address, he said they would summons me to court and hung up on me. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BANK INFO! - Ms. WoosahI received Phone calls from 888-581-2458 telling me that i owed a pay day loan from 2013 that i have already taken care of.
