called left a message on my cell phone, regarding a person who they say they are trying to reach, a Ms. Lisa Smith at ext: 266 saying that a decision that is not favorable to this person will be reached if this person does not call them

We have been getting the same phone calls on our cell phones only,never the landline.

The same number and ext.# called our cell phones numerous times.

Keep calling. Wants information and money.

However, I don't think they are a scam; it's a collection agency for credit cards. They generally will call and bother the heck out of you----so I just paid it. They sent me all the proper docs--I think it's just a debt that I forgot to pay--but they have great settlement offers and was very considerate of my hardship--most of the time ppl file complaints because they are trying to get out of it--just pay it or they will bother you--unwanted stress.

Of course they want money because you spent the money but if you owe it it's best to pay it why not take care of the matter before it gets out of hand, generally if they bought the debt and you owe the money their able to sue---and you will have to pay more money out of pocket--take the settlement and dispute it on your credit---that's why creditors nowadays don't lend money because of ppl like you

I was reading through the comments, the agency is very generous---they work with give you time to come up with funds and also give you the ability to work out payment arrgs, settlements---I spoke with a rep of my bank and I got a loan and was able to deposit the check and pay right away so I wouldn't lose out on the settlement---I chcked my credit burearu and everything had been updated prior---I was pleased and they aren't like most colletion agencies RUDE---they was kind and understanding I agree with HEATHER

The voicemail messages from Lisa Smith threatened to garnish my wages and claim my car. Ms. Hughes was consistently short and rude during my conversations with her-she has even hung up on me twice. I'm still not certain whether or not they are a legitimate company.

I have called this number back and have also gotten this one woman who's apparently the only one working there.  When I questioned the debt, seeing as it's originating from a bank that I work for, she got very short, said good luck in court, and hung up on me.  I have run my credit once a year and have nothing now or in the past to pay.  Heather, if you did pay them, your an idiot, so don't go calling assuming people are deadbeats.  The reason the country is this way is because we have gullible morons running it. Do some research

Folks - please note the shill posts.  Remember, per the FDCPA, you should not pay any caller who refuses to mail - do not accept email or fax - proof of debt/proof the caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of their initial contact with you is a violation of federal law.  In other words, if they won't mail written, verifiable proof that you owe them money, do not pay - per the FDCPA.

And I'd like to address a deliberate attempt to mislead people - just because you pay a delinquent loan/debt, that does NOT remove that item from your credit report.  It will be updated as paid, but still show that it was delinquent prior to being paid off.  And it doesn't come off your credit report for at least 7 years.

Well perhaps you can afford a new CAPS LOCK KEY?!  Your's seems to be broken.  Then again, shills do seem to like posting in all caps!
