Shady message left stating they are calling with Dr. (mumbled) and they were with United Health Care and they had questions.   Sounds very fishy with the poor quality recording I hesitate to even call back

Like Amy, the message left sounded really shady, fishy with poor quality recording. There are no e-messages on my former United Healthcare site. I think I will wait and see if I receive anything in the mail :)

Same as the others.  Message left stated that they were from Optimum Health working in conjunction with United Health Care and need me to call back.   Needless to say, I'll wait for mail or email.

Same thing this was the # they left - but had my wife's name not mine.

The number they called from showed  412-773-8466.

Me too!   Said they were from "optum health, a part of united health group".  Said they had questions about my daughter and even knew her name!   Not calling them back .    By the way I listened several times... It's united health group not united healthcare.. ????   Caller ID was 412 area code but said to call 855 area code.

I actually called them back - after reading everyone's postings.  It was a mechanized survey about a specific doctor that I see where they asked me to rate him on a scale of 1-5 for things like how well do I trust him, how long is the wait time, how good is his bedside manner, etc.  

When I called back, they apparently matched the caller id to my records, because I was not asked my name, date of birth or any other identifying information.

Just had the same thing happen to me. I actually called the number on the back of my uhc card asked them about it. They said it is a legit partner they work with having to do with Health and Wellness. I asked them to transfer me and the person i talked to said they weren't optimum choice/health (or whatever it is) and they didn't have the 855 number i gave them to transfer me...so long story short, i'm not calling them back

Same message rec'd about 5 minutes ago Optum Health through United Health...I've have UH but I don't like surveys.

Its just annoying, should United Healthccare really be spending OUR premium money to advertise and solicit us??

I just got the call too. Based on the recent posts above, it seems legit. But UHC should know better than to creep people out by having this automated survey go out by phone and ask us to call an 855 number. I'm not calling back out of principle. How'd they get my cell number anyway?!?!

Same call 5 min ago addressed to my wife. Not calling back.

I USE to have United Health Care. I've been without health care for about 8 months now so I don't know why they'd call. Sounds like UHC may have had some information hacked.

I got a message from Optimum Health too:

Hello This is Optimum Health. We are a part of United Health Group Company, we're calling for <my wife name>. We have a few important questions to ask you. Please give us a call back. Toll Free, at 1 855 612 1069. Again. The number is 1 855 612 1069. Thank you and have a good day goodbye.

It does sound very bad quality and what I like less is that they were asking on my number for my wife.

I just got the same message from Optimum Health group about a few important questions they need to ask me.

I tried to call back the 855 number they left on my vm, but it said all circuits are busy now.

Received the same message today on my answering machine.  Before checking online I did dial the 855 number and all circuits were busy.  Based on the posts here I am not going to call back.  Not terribly happy United Healthcare gave out my information.....

I think it's OptumHealth, not Optimum.  They are a real part of United Health group.  If you check their website you can tell.  They are the same parent company thats all.

Just got the same message.  I too will be waiting for a more official notification.

recieved numerous calls from them saying they are united healthcare. but number does not match up with my cards. wont be calling them back.

I received the same call requesting I call back to the following number 855-612-1069.  I then called Optimum Healthcare to verify that they called and wanted to know why.  The customer service person said that it was fraud.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK AND PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION.

Same as below. Left message on cell phone regarding Philip Barber, who died last December. Strange. tried to call back the number they left and it would't go through. I'm sure this is some kind of scam.. Will not be calling back
