Got call from this number, does anyone know who it is.

got a call today from a Robert Reeder from ERS, some b.s about verifiying address.. this is a collection company, here is there website.  http://www.everest-inc.com/index-1.html

CAlled regarding an old debt I already settled- Said it was sold and is now in collections again. Caller name was Tom Hauser

left message with co worker said they wanted to collect a debt i owe.

Got a voice mail today from a Robert Reader wanting to verify my address in order to send out a leagally required notice.

same thing, said it was urgent, regarding a Legally Required Notice.

Made threats with foul language and called me a dead beat.

Same deal. Would not provide any information on nature of the call. Callers name was Cameron. Wanted to verify an address to send out a "legal notice".

A Mr. Asutin calling for someone else.  I got tired of the calles and hit the number one to see what they wanted.  TOO SECRETIVE.  I do believe it is a bill collector.  What must I do  I just recently got this number must I get rid of it.

We got a call from these people to collect a debt, asked for them to mail out some verification, we got the mail in the letter saying we owe X amount of money and a phone number was given on the form, now when we call to pay or get more info the phone number just keeps reading!! Scared to trust it, if we do finally get through some day... What to do?

Joe,  you do understand that a letter saying you owe them does not constitute validation or proof,  don't you?
Don't pay them unless they validate it.  So far,  they only sent you a sheet of paper that says you owe them.  
Demand that they provide written validation complete with copies of all documentation concerning the debt,  the Name and address Of the Original owner of the alleged debt,  the total amount of the debt as last held by the Original owner,  A record of any and all payments made on the alleged debt,  the Date of the last and final payment made or activity on the alleged debt,  and a verifiable copy of any signed contract that may exist, and proof of their legal right to claim and collect the alleged debt in your state.
Demand their name,  their actual company name,  physical and mailing address,  as well as regular business phone number.  Tell them that you need their actual mailing address and company name so that you can communicate with them in writing and send them any certified with signature requested letter concerning the alleged  debt and that you will be disputing the alleged debt as well as their right to claim and collect. These people are just trying to buffalo you by sending you a simple sheet of paper stating that you owe them.  They must by law provide this information and all validation,  in writing,  that they hold.  If they refeuse or say that the letter (bill)  they sent you is sufficient,  they they are unlawfull and obviously don't have anything to validate it.  Don't pay them a settlement of any amount.  If you do,  you are admitting liability for the full amount.   Good luck
