They called the other day from: (844) 363-8856 - NRS (National Recovery Services).   Then they call from (254) 870-6672 and requested a call back on (855) 615-8518.  Already smells like a scam so I did some more research...  Check out the RipoffReport.com and you'll find many issues with them.  It's about internet payday loans - never had one, don't want one.   Beware....it's a SCAM.

I called this number back, and "Tasha Andrews" said she was calling me as a reference for my mother. I asked for what and she said" a complaint"... I called the number back and asked for my number to be taken off there calling list. She hung up on me, I called back instantly. I told her I don't appreciate being hung up on, this chick flew off the handle and told me "you are rude for calling and asking for your number to be taken off" then I told her I looked them up online and said I knew it was a scam and then she went on to tell me " you and your mother are a scam"

They are scammers. These companies purchase your information from debt collection agencies (regardless of the age of the debt) and use that information to convince you that you will be sued, arrested, etc. for an outstanding debt. Always ask for written proof of the debt (they must provide) and if you ask to not be contacted by phone, only by mail, they must comply.

Woman from number +1 (657) 999-5190 called and left message saying she is Miss Andrews and she calling regarding a company filed about me in the county I live in. She gave callback number (855) 615-8518. It seemed strange so I looked up this number for complaints. I have blocked this caller now based upon what other readers have reported.

Debt collection scam.  Check the statute of limitations for your state.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

This is a scam.  They do anything to try and get you to pay them money.  They call family, friends and your work place.  They refer to payday loans.  If you had one or applied for one they can get your personal information off the loans app.  They pay people for your information.  They are not legal companies.  It's all a scam.  Call the police and report them and even the FBI and Better Business Bureau.  Don't give them any money even if you owe someone...call the original creditor.

I received a call from a woman named Amanda Brooks.  She told my husband I owed money.  When I called back to find out who I owed money to she wouldn't tell me and she said she was going to garnish my wages and she hung up on  me.

Wow. She's still at it. This exact scenario just happened to me today. This same ghetto woman called several family members. When I did some research on the 2 numbers she called from, they both linked up to me finding her phony front business and I've got pictures and reported to the FCC.
