This person/entity has been calling our home phone number at all times of the day.  When I pick up, there is no one there.  We are tired of being woken in the morning and having meals disturbed because of this caller.  Our number is on the do-no-call list.  Caller ID just shows it as toll free.

Got the same call. . . on cell. . good thing i have this app on my phone to block these numbers.

I have keep track of their calls on my caller ID and they call at all hours of the day.  Today 8/15/11
I told them I was going to report them as stalking me and the man I spoke to asked me if I wanted
my number to be removed from the list and I said YES....in fact I mentioned this once before.
Som we will see what happens.

The number belongs to NCB Management Service incorporated a bill collector. They called me a few times looking for a relative of mine and when i asked for the reason they didnt want to tell me then when i asked more they didnt want to share. but when i did ask how come i was called they told me i was listed as a possible relative to the person who they were looking for and that said person change or disconnected their number, i asked them for the number and it wasn't a number i knew so i asked for the date of birth they had and it wasn't of my relative.

So at this point i already spent 5 mins on the phone trying to get info only to find out that it wasn't who they were looking for, so i spent the next three mins cursing them out and threatening them if i ever hear from them again trying to accuse my relative of something without verifying its the actual person, i would make it my business to to make that guys life a living hell especially since i have his name, the company he works for and his ext.(which i got within the 5 mins i was talking to him)  

I highly recommend that you guys ask trivial information like a birthday or telephone number of the person they are trying to reach before they waste your time

Debt collectors can easily be sued for talking at length with the wrong person. Of course, being shadowy works in their favor to make call targets anxious. You are not obliged to help the collector's skip trace efforts in any way, and you won't get anywhere arguing with agency reps. Debt buyers are notoriously deaf to verbal requests and denials.

If you're not their intended target, you should tell them in writing. It's called a ''cease-comm'' for short, and it is best sent USPS Certified with a return card. You may already be due some payback if you can prove abusive tactics or foul language was used in an effort to collect debt. You might get some legal traction from a harassing or annoying call pattern as well.

I might add that dates of birth can unlock as much if not more privileged information than a SS number.

Just go to your telephone company web site and BLOCK the offending number, so it will not be able to come thru.
But that's nothing permanent, because those Caller ID spoofers use a number for one day or so, then start to use some other number. The numbers they use are abandoned numbers, not yet reassigned by the telephone companies.

It is amazing that such a crooked practice is allowed to go on!
Where are the feds when I need them????? I wrote to my US Rep...no response!

Bottom line: IGNORE IT and never give the other side ANY information. PERIOD!

Received a call from the number 855-622-5900 looking for a person who is not in my household and will certainly have a not so nice conversation if I get a call again from this number.
