- Frustrated| 2 repliesI received a call from this number (855-627-9907) stating they were from National Claim Resolutions. The callers name was Lisa. She informed me that there was a fraud claim with my name and social placed on her desk. States I will be served at my home or place of work tomorrow between the hours of 12-5pm if I do not pay a debt in full. I asked her what lender I owed and she told me Sierra Lending, LLC (an online payday loan distributor). I asked her where her office was located and she told me that she "doesn't have an address to give me, they have many locations nationwide." I asked her if she could tell me how much the loan was that I allegedly took out, she couldn't answer that either. Mind you, I have never received anything in writing through the US mail and this was the FIRST call I have ever received regarding this. I am finding several things wrong with this.
1. If you are a legit company, why call from a restricted number to leave me an 800 #?
2. Why have I never received anything in the mail regarding this? They clearly have my name, phone number and social security number. I shouldn't be hard to locate.
3. Why don't they know the loan amount that was taken out?
4. Why can't you give me an address? If you have many locations nationwide, there has to be a corporate office somewhere..
I guess I will be waiting to be served between the hours of 12-5 tomorrow. We shall see....- Caller: Lisa from National Claim Resolutions

- john replies to Frustrated| 1 replydid they ever show up? I got the same message.
- Rose| 4 repliesI got a call today staying same thing
- Frustrated replies to johnThey never showed up. Its a scam.
- Frustrated replies to Rose| 3 repliesIt is all a scam. If you have in fact borrowed money from an online lender, know that they can't harrass you. The most they can do is put it on your credit. It is actually illegal for them to call and threaten you. You can report them.
If they give you the option to pay your debt with a prepaid card, another red flag. Prepaid cards are almost impossible to trace. They can take your money and run.
They HAVE to provide an address and company name. If they can't, red flag. If they do provide a company name, google it. If you can't locate it on google maps, its a scam.
Number one.... Who alerts you when you are being served? That never happens. It just shows up on your door....
Moral of the story??? Its a scam. Report them if they continue to harrass you. - Alison replies to Frustrated| 2 repliesThey called my work number. How do I report them?
- nancy| 1 replyThey have been calling famiy members on their house phones and cell phones telling them, they will come to my work or home if I don't pay my debt, mind you they supposedly emailed me information, which must have gone to my spam file because I never received it. I tentatively made an agreement with them this morning, but they have been harassing my daughter and son and law this evening with threats. My amount due was a payday loan for $600, I made several payments and now they add a :convenience fee: and now I owe $1003. and if I don't pay it. I will owe $3248 in filing and court fees. Its frustrating that they were able to contact my family on their cell phones, why did they not contact me?? Does sound like a scam, I don't know what to do,They claim I will be put on a list that I cannot write checks and they will report it to the credit agencies. I am going to call the consumer agency tomorrow and see what they can do to help me.

- kjk| 1 replyI just got it too. The same message from National Claim Resolution for a debt from a place called Multi Loan Source (which is not even a lender). I informed the lady that the internet says the 855 number is a scam and she said People Don't Want To Pay Their Debts So They Will Say Anything. Man these people are good. I told her I don't have any money so they'll just have to let whatever happen. That part is true fo sho!!!! They are also calling my family. So embarrassing

- kjk replies to kjkOh by the way - the lady's name was also Lisa
- frustrated replies to AlisonSince they don't have an address, it is very difficult to send them a cease and desist letter.
- Frustrated replies to nancyNone of that will happen, don't worry. The most they can do is add the amount owed to your credit. I see they have started to contact lots of folks. I am going to look up how to report them. Be back soon!!
- frustrated replies to AlisonYou can report them to http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/.
- Jay| 2 repliesok these people are National Check Resolutions. A 3rd party debt collection agency for United Debt Holdings, who is a debt buyer. I talked to them directly and they said this is the NCR company's tactic. I went to Multiloansource.net directly and got a written response from them saying 1. I owe them nothing, 2. They are not pursuing me legally at all. This "Legal Services" lady that calls and says we are serving you has Cale's me 3 times to inform me of service. I said I am here and waiting. I called clerk of courts they were going to sue me at. Guess what, nothing. When they called today I offered to conference call my attorney and the clerk of courts. She abruptly said, no don't call back and hung up on me. Game, set, match. Nice try. I never even got a collection letter. And they will not give out there address.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Ashley left a message stating I was scheduled to be served but to call 855.627.9907 to attempt to resolve. I owed $1003.17 and if in didn't pay i would end up paying $3300 in court cost and fees. I also asked what was the name of this company and she said National Claim Resolution, I said where are you located...she quickly stated "Georgia" then asked me to hold, then another lady came on with a very soft voice very polite trying to set a payment arrangements. While in was talking I came online to look for the name and number and this is what site is all I've seen....Now I'm upset

- CindeeSo I got this call today. Had 4 missed calls on my phone two unknowns and two privates. Then a message left on the phone with this phone number. Name Tia Mitchell. Called got someone else. They had ALL of my information and had a legitmate company that I do owe money to. I also asked why have I not received anything in the mail and she said yes you have and I again said no. She said well they are willing to settle and I said ok but I want to contact my attorney first and she said Well then I will tell them that you have waived your rights and hung up on me. I am now trying to contact the company (payday lender) to see if I can resolve the matter. (I don't want legal action taken - I thought all they could do was put it against your credit)
Wait a minute - first you never said "this is an attempt to collect a debt" , second if I have an attorney and you are going to proceed with legal action against me then isn't that exercising my right and that they should be able to speak with my attorney to resolve this matter. This is insane....I keep getting random emails and now phone calls from people. What is going on in this world- Caller: National Claim
