This number left a message stating that a local merchant claims I wrote a bad check that has been tied to my name & drivers license number and that I needed to call them at 855-647-6700.  They originally called from 310-982-6276. If I did indeed write a bad check, my bank would be the first to tell me.  Since I don't write check's this smells like a scammer.  If you truly believe I am said person, you legally have 5 days to mail me paperwork once you make initial contact.  That's the law.

Called me from 970-372-2899. Left me the same message as stated in the previous post. A bad check???? Must be a scam, because I don't have any checks. I never ordered checks when I opened my checking account years and years ago. So there's no way they have a bad check from me.  I wish people would just earn an honest living and quit trying to take advantage of others.

Got a call saying there was a risk management complaint and they just needed a statement.

That is the same thing they told me and they said I needed to pay over $600 back where can we report them

They have called me twice from two different numbers but when you call them back it rings and rings. I have put them on my block list on my phone. Scary thing is they have my ssn# . How does this happen? Also if I'd written a bad check from 3 years ago think I'd have known it by now.

I just received a call from 715-861-8026. It was a recorded message. Got the same message as James and Mrs. Gordon. Told me to call 855-647-6700. I am so tired of these people.

Got a call from 858-997-0172 they left the same messages as the other people got, but they also said for me to call this number 855-647-6700 and that this will be the last call.

'Savannah' called my cell and left a message for my grandmother. How they tied her to my number is a mystery! If what other recipients are saying is what this ARS is calling for, then I would be interested in how my 91 yr old grandmother, who has been in a dementia care unit for years, wrote a bad check in that time frame.
I did try to call the number back and there was no answer.

Got a call originally showing it was from 225-330-7051. Looking up phone # online, it traced to a bogus cell # in Louisiana(!) belonging to a Mildred something-or-other; the post SAID the name is bogus. Got the same recorded message as noted by other call recipients (a bad check to a local market under your name, contact us at 855-647-6700). No ID given, no company name. Don't have any outstanding returned checks and don't know anyone or have any reason to expect anyone in that area code to be calling, and regularly get scammers and telemarketers calling so I blocked the # - traced it to this phone #855-647-6700. So if you get a call from 225-330-7051 it's these same scammers.

this company has been calling me and stating I owe on a loan that I have never ever taken out and that i will be arrested the trick with these guys just tell them you will see them when they come arrest you or in court they get pretty angry

Received same call about bad check from a local merchant, original number 414-269-3368, gave same number to call back 855-647-6700

I  just received the same message I got last week but now they called me from a different number, 503-821-7497. The end of the message said, "this is your notice." Legally, notice has to be in writing.  Watch out!  This definitely smells like fraud.

Got a call AT MY OFFICE (third one today) it was an automated message stating that a local merchant claims I wrote a bad check that has been tied to my name & drivers license number and that I needed to call them at 855-647-6700. They originally called from 310-878-2755. I do not have checks and I haven't had checks in nearly a decade -- when I did have checks I wrote exactly one a month to my landlord. These people are a disease.

I have gotten three calls at my work from this phone number at the recorded message telling that if it's me I have a bad check link to my so security number to call the number I just got rid of another phone number calling me and harassing me about me owing for a debt that I had paid off of I asked if it was on my credit report and they said they don't report these things on your credit report I also said send me a notice in writing he said I sent you a notice and they gave me an old address that I haven't lived there for three years told him I didn't live there anymore he never once asked for my new address his name was Mr. Sean Robinson. He told me three different days I had till 5 o'clock to settle this debt I told him I'll see you in court. Now it seems they're going to my work and making calls.

Got a call from: 970-372-2899. Report of a bad check. Well 970-372-2899 I got news for you, if I had written a bad check, that would be reported to chexsystems and my record is clean. I will not return your call, continue to block your number(s) till you get tired of calling me. Hopefully I will see you in court, go head threaten to sue me, bring the police, say whatever you want. Your words are meaningless empty lies, all a scam and us Americans know your criminal story. Tell you what, leave me your physical address and I will beat you to court, subpoena your records to find out where you got my personal information, sue you and collect $1000. I can do all of this without any lawyer help so you can save some money, your welcome! So, go scr3w off!!!

Ive received three calls from an unknown number saying the same thing, merchant claims note has been tied to my drivers license number. It's not a person, just a recording and the leave a reference number. That's all they say. They give no phone number to call back. And, they are using a name I haven't used in almost 5 years!
