Called and said I was going to have a FTA if I didn't call this person,  because they were trying to serve me with court papers, for the last two weeks. Well, I only work 3 days a week, are they trying to come on those days? Gave me a name and case number.
Probably trying to collect on an old debt? How would they get my cell number anyhow?

The person who called me from this phone number pretended to be a person from my district court telling me I missed a court date and they were sending an officer to my house to server me papers. I then asked if was going to be arrested. She said no, so after I got off the phone with her, I called my court house and they told me there was no court date, so whomever called me was trying to get information but they did not get any.
I wish I could give you more info, but if I do get any more information I will post it.

Hi Kelly,  they gave me a case # as well. That phone call put me in a crisis situation.  If I ever find out who it was I am going to do something a bought it.

Received a call from this number.  They were looking for my dad and said that they were trying to serve him legal documents at what they said was his last known address. He had not lived there in 15 years. So at that point I assumed this was a scam. I asked for company name and they said Voicenation but refused to give me there address except to tell me they where in California. I
Tried to lookup the address and seen a company of that name in Georgia. I called and let them know about this and I belive that they were not the ones who called. If anyone knows how to report and find out how to stop this from happening. Please respond to this post

We are from a Law Firm in Orange County California.
We have gotten many calls from people telling us that a Johnson and Associates is calling them and claiming to be from a local court or law firm and the call is regarding a legal and collection matter.   I tried calling the number 8557099169 to find out more information and spoke with an Emma at ext. 202.  She told me I needed to speak with the compliance department then said she would transfer me and laid the phone down.  I held on for 5 minutes to see what she would do.  No transfer.
Our firm is Johnson and Associates, A Professional Law Corporation in Newport Beach California.  If anyone gets a call from this number trying to get you to pay them using a credit card tell them you are reporting them to the FTC and  to our Law Firm.
They are misrepresenting themselves.  Ask them to stop calling you and give them our number (949) 851-6993. They can ask for me directly.

The company that called me went by Johnson and Associates. A thing by the name of EMMA (1-855-709-9169 x 202) stated that she was with County I use to live in and had papers to serve me because they had been trying to serve for some time now at a PO Box that I no longer had. She literally scared me stating how if I didn't give her my credit card information to stop the court documents from being processed then I would get my wages withheld.
She did convince me set up a payment plan and even tried to play the sympathy card with me as if she was doing me a favor. If it wasn't for my friend and talking to her about this, I would have called back and given them my credit card information out of fear.
I did call back though because by this time I knew they were a scam as I had looked up the number and noticed all these other peoples' postings.
I again spoke with the thing called EMMA and she of course was ready to get my credit card information and I let her know that I didn't feel safe giving her my info and if she would give me an address to send a payment too. She said they don't take payments directly and stated that if I wanted to I could send a payment to the address that she provided which was 107 North Orange Ave, Fullerton, CA 92833. As I was talking to her I googled it and this either was a house, Motel, gas station or tire shop, google it yourself.
So after several calls to the wonderful people at "Johnson & Associates" I got a hold of the "compliance" person and I told him about his so called address and he let me know to google it again and if I looked there was a business in the area. Hmmmmm no there isn't.
And of course...everything was being recorded so when they sue me they have documentation.
I don't know how these people can sleep at night knowing that they are doing this....I get you have to make a buck but this way is just awful.
