They say you owe money but have no documentation to back it up or to send to you-they say they are sending someone to your workplace with a summons.

They called my husband's job about owing for a payday loan. The person that called was called SSN Group LLC and the person name was a Gabby Wolf claiming to be a case manager. If said bill exists would have had something in mail in the last 2-3 years. Also going under Rachel Whitman Century Group.
Another name was a Leroy Hill, claiming case file numbers, but again if legit would have known about it.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

When they threaten to show up, tell them to bring beer & pizza. Paperwork? Well, I do hope they bring napkins. Pizza can get kind of messy. Could be a little spicy if they're bringing it from Asia (where they're calling from), probably be cold when it gets here. Hate that.

A Rachel Whitman called trying endlessly to get my credit card info.  She had someone call my job first threatening to serve me. Very embarrassing.

I just recieved a call from Gabby Wolf. 855-241-8108. She stated I owed for a pay day loan from 2011. I requested the proof of debt to be mailed. I also advised her that I did not receive any documentation regarding a debt. She said she will email the proof. I said she has to mail it to me. If she mails me something & it is fraud than she will be committing a Felony by using the US Postal Service as a purpose to comment Fraud. She kept asking me to accept the responsibility for the debt. I said not until I see proof. Then I asked her where she was, she said Tempe, AZ. I asked her why then is she calling from a local NY phone number? She said something was wrong with their system.
