Some [***] whose voice is strong, low, and stern, telling us a complaint is going to be filed in our county, against me. When they get to the name, it is a recorded name, and the caller NEVER identified his name, nor company name. Some debt collector, or scam against the inform and/or elderly.

same happen to my wife today same guy it sounds like - the number is calling from over seas in north africa - if any one get a call from the fake company again - give the number to your local FBI  immediately  and call the  authorities  in your city so people can stop being harrased and threaten as my wife was tonight ! 01 - 27 - 16 todays date.

same here got mine yesterday saying there was a formal complaint filed

A mans voice saying that there has been a complaint filed against me. If I don't return the phone call further action will be taken

I am going to be served from a JD Marketing check issued 2010.  I never took a loan from such a company.

Just now got this call. Says "Hello I am calling in regards to a formal complaint that  has been filed against (at this point a recording states the name of someone I have never heard of). If you have any information that can lead to the  whereabouts of this individual, please contact us immediately at 855-739-8862, that is 855-739-8862, or press any key on your dialpad to be connected immediately. Our next step will be the filing of the necessary paperwork with the local county court. Thank you for your cooperation." Caller ID does not say who it is. Same stern, low voice. However, it sounds American to me, not foreign.

I got the same call a few minutes ago. scared me. Has anyone called the number back or talked to anyone?

I called the number and they were able to give me the last four of my social and name of employer I worked for years ago. Stated that I had taken out a loan with a pay-day loan company in 2011 and I owed a debt. The call was just to inform me of the situation. I have no idea what they are talking about, but its kinda scary that they had the last four of my SSN, former employer, and name of my bank. I am sure if I kept them on the phone longer they would have asked for money. Please do not give these guys any personal information or money. It's a scam, but one where they were able to get everyones personal information. If would be nice if we could figure out the common source of the information (what we all have in common).

This call did scare me, because the name they used was my son. Fortunately, I was in a meeting when they called and let it go to voicemail.

With Facebook and everything else out there that  information is easily obtained.

I received a call from some number.  Nobody on the other end.

They have left me threatening phone messages.  I have also been getting hang-up calls from 415-666-2217 and 844-298-4707.  Very annoying.  I do not owe anyone any money. I am reporting to FCC

Same call...screw them  big ole scam

Same thing, demanding I owe a payday debt when I filed bankruptcy on it. Demanded I had one hour to call back or I'd be getting a court summons wanting me to make payment arrangements or settle 'half' the 500. I think it's a scam call back and answering machine says coastal or something
