Got useless voicemail message saying "9.
    Thank you goodbye."
They need to take into account that many numbers now go to vm and leave message
accordingly--not that i'd necessarily do anything about it anyways. I certainly wouldn't pick up the phone without it actually listing a company name in any event.

Won't happen, they don't throttle back you usage, but ask you to turn off unneeded appliances and dial your thermostat back to save energy.  completely voluntary.

Dont waist your cell phone minutes to answer.  If you think BGE is calling to help you save on your bill, I have a bridge to sell you.  They dont do charity work. their only job is to make a profit.

They are not going to cut back your energy. They tell you that it's an energy savings day and that if you personally cut back on your energy you can save money. like if you turn off your lights, don't use your washer or dryer that day. Turn your house temperature up by a couple degrees. but it's all on your end not them doing anything.

If this is really BGE they need something to do. They have called now 6 times:  2:16, 2:16, 2:16, 2:47, 2:47, 2:47 PM today no message.  If they can continue to call 3 times each within a minute then they can lower my BGE BILL. LOL

BGE with an annoying robocall telling you that it will be hot tomorrow and to save energy.....like Duhhhhh.  Not appreciated from a for-profit agency that doesn't give a rat's a** whether you conserve energy or not.  They are in the business of making money!

Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) telling me it's hot.  Thanks, I can go outside and feel that it is.  They ask you to turn off unneeded appliances so you can "save money" on your bill.  If they really want to save me money on my bill, lower the prices on your product.  That'll help a WHOLE lot.

They are not decreasing your energy for goodness sake.  They give you the option to do things to save energy, such as change your thermostat by a few degrees and if you do they give you extra savings on your bill.  It helps everyone.

electric has been deregulated since the 90s...Bge is a distribution company and cannot Legally sell you the power itself for anymore than it pays for it on the open market-look into shopping around for a better rate...

Makes you wonder how much this system cost them and how much it increased our bill.  Block the number like I did.

Don't ya'll just love deregulation?!?!  We do have choices and should use it; don't get angry, shop around for a better rate.  We consumers don't realize that we do have some power and should use it wisely.

And yet, whenever I use less energy on such days, I receive credits on my bill.  Yes, their primary motivation behind this is likely to make more money, but they _do_ provide an incentive for you to use less energy.  To imply otherwise is just deceitful.

We just got a legit robocall from this number.  Our nuisance call blocker did let it through.  It was a recording from BGE, our power company, telling us about tomorrow's "energy saving day," when they'll give customers a credit on their bill if they use less electric power during peak demands (like a weekday afternoon/evening in during a Maryland summer heat wave.)

The call was from this number with CID name set to "UNAVAILABLE" (curious that they send out these calls without better CID name info IMO.)  I answered it after the third ring.  The recording today didn't start playing until a couple seconds after I said "Hello."  I listened for a while but hung up before it finished (We get such calls before most every summer heat wave - I don't need to listen to all of it again.)  So I don't know if the recording included options/instructions to opt out of such calls in the future.  I didn't test it on this call today, but IIRC from the past their robot does handle waiting for the beep on answering machines to begin leaving its message.

Our call blocker (rhymes with SlowNoHobo) did not intercept this call, even with its "advanced robocall detection" feature turned on.  Of the nuisance calls, robo and live, we get with 10-digit CID numbers, the call blocker seems to do a pretty good job of intercepting them after the first ring.  It makes sense to me that the service would let this call through.  It was a robocall but from a company with whom we currently do business.  BGE is a for-profit company, yes, but they're trying to avoid brownouts during heat waves and robocalling us to let us know about their offered financial incentive if we help.  This was one of the rare species of robocall that doesn't irritate me.
