The call was from Wachovia saying they have a 60 day free trial of a medical/dental plan worth $500,000 and all they need to send me the packet which includes a $25 gas card is my birth date.  I questioned the idea of Wachovia now carrying a health plan and the representative got impatient with my question and said all he needs is my birth date so he can send the packet.  I told him I am not giving my birth date when he is not even willing to answer basic questions.  He repeated that all he is asking for is my birth date.  At that point I told him thanks for the call but I'm not interested and hung up.  Sounds too good to be true---$500,000 in medical & dental coverage.  Sixty-day free trial, free gas card (they are always bogus--require you to jump through hoops & then are worthless), etc. etc.

Got a call from here today but did not answer since I didn't recognize the number and it did not say the caller's name on my caller ID.  I do deal with Wachovia for my banking, however, if they continue to do this type of thing I will definitely be switching banks.  This is not the first time Wachovia has called trying to "sell" something.  Pretty bad when the banks have to stoop to this level to try and get business.

They call all the time and I have asked them to stop 10's of times.

just don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the phone number in your Caller ID.

Just don't answer!  Ignore unknown phone numbers!  They can always leave a message if they are legit.

They repeatedly call and no one is on the line. I work in the telemarketing industry and there are fines for this type of behavior. By reading other posts it seems it may be Wachovia yet I have never heard a live person or even a crappy recording on the line. Further, Wachovia has been slapped with a multi-million dollar fine for preying on customers with the assistance of less than reputable telemarketing companies. Why are they allowed to intrude on people's lives, not actually have a live person on the line, and do this repeatedly?

I called the number back and it said Wells Fargo. I have never done business with them or Wachovia and don't know why they're calling repeatedly and don't have a live person on this line. I believe Wachovia is owned by Wells Fargo but again, Wachovia is no stranger to employing scam artist telemarketers even as the complaints rose about them.

No you don't have to answer the phone but you shouldn't have to be constantly interrupted by a ringing phone with no one on the line, let alone a call from a company that you didn't ask to call you!

Gettting constant calls from this 855-760-5943 every day several times a day - I stopped pickig up the calls. No voice mail messages left.

Getting calls several times a day every day of the week from 855-760-5943 but do not ever answer calls from 800 numbers.  Still, it is annoying.

the people at the phone number are calling constantly 3 to 4 times a day even on sunday. whe we answer the phone  no one ansawers back. it  is very annoying !  what i read here it is wells fargo or wachovia bank. i want it stoped!  roze

Yeah, but when the phone rings you have to disturb whatever you are doing (like dinner-the [***] make a point of calling at dinnertime) run over to the phone and check to see who it is.   They disturb our peace in the sanctity of our own homes with an arrogance and indifference that gives the impression they think  they have a right to treat us like ATM machines.   It's their arrogance I resent most.
