We got this call from some guy with what sounded like a Middle Eastern accent.He said his name was Victor and he had our e-mail account and he said our computer was infected with Stuxnet and he would clear it out for us. He claimed to work at Premium Technical Support and he told us to call this number.

It looks like a toll-free number but it appears to be routed to a highly expensive  number with a recorded message where you are charged big bucks per second

My mother received a phone call from this place claiming to be Microsoft telling her that her computer was "hacking" other computers in the community and that they can clear it up for her they just needed access to her computer and she (being trusting and of the retirement age) let them have access to her computer. I happened to call her while she was on the line with these people and I told her to end the call and shut her computer down and they gave her this number to call them back. I decided to Google this number instead of calling it because I knew it sounded bogus.

Received call today from "Premium Technical Support" the man had a foreign middle eastern accent but his name was Roger Brown when I ask.He said they provided tech support for Comcast customers. He said our computer email account with Comcast was being hacked and accessed by three different IP addresses and complaints were being registered about our email address sending stuff out. He would not tell me who or what the complaints were about specifically or by whom. He asked me to go to www.support.me so he could fix my computer email issue by accessing my computer as he walked me through the fix. When I questioned his name with his thick foreign accent  as well as repeatedly asking him to tell me the IP addresses and emails accessing and complaining he became irritated. This is an identity theft scam. Caution!!!!!

I got a 0630 call from a guy who said his name was Sam Williams.  The caller had a heavy East Indian accent.  He told me my Yahoo account was compromised and "they" had 19 complaints about my account in past 48 hours.
Said he was from "Premium Tech Support" out of Texas.  I asked for a number I could call him back at.  He would not give me his number but gave me 855-763-0456.  I called the number, while still on cell with "Sam".  A guy who identified himself as "Brian" answered.  I could hear lots of background noise ( voices/people) and "Brian" also had a heavy east Indian accent.
"Sam" was continually pushing me to log onto www.supportme ....  to give him control of my computer.  I told Sam I was cautious and explained why, he tried to pressure me to log onto the website and he would fix the problem.  Asked me when I last used my account, asked me several times if someone else had access to my account (no they did not).  Asked how he got my cell number and name, that is when I was sure it was a scam.  I wasted over an hour with this dude.

Not sure what the end scam is but I would be very cautious.  

I received a call at 4:30 from a guy Leroy with heavy Indian accent who stated that my e-mail was sending out undesirable spams.  They would help me fix this problem so he had another dude named Steve Brown, also heavy Indian accent, who was identified as senior Tech. After asking me to log in to www.support.me  I became uncomfortable with giving them access to my PC, I told them I would need to get my son to help me he became very irritated.  However I let him know that I had my son on the line and had him on the speaker . He became more irritated and gave me this number (855-763-0456) to call him back. In turn I gave the number to my son, who Googled it and found this number to be associated with scams.  I write this because the messages from others helped me.  

I just got off the phone with someone calling themselves Samuel. He made the same claims about my account. I did not fall for it, but that's only because I've watched so many crime shows I am becoming suspicious of strangers. Only took me 57 years! Not only should one not share info, but do not call their number back. It is very easy to answer a phone using a false business name.

I rec'd a call from a man named Bryan with phone #1-855-763-0456, claiming to be a tech from Premium Tech Support and had me type in www.support.me, my screen came up saying not to proceed.  I am glad I didn't as then I investigated this phone # and see where others have rec'd the same call.  I am sure this is an identity scam.  He wanted me to give

access to my computer.  Fortunately, I didn't!

I have been receiving a call from this guy on a regular basis for a week now telling me he is from Premium Tech Support and that my email is sending out spam. It always comes up as Unknown Name Private Number. When I managed to get a phone number out of him  1-855-763-0456, I googled the name and number and found this site. He is insisting on gaining access to my computer which I know better and refused.Told him I would take my computer to a reputable technician in my area. BEWARE!!!!!

Samuel called me too on January 14th.  He gave me the 855-763-0456 as a return number also.  He claimed that I was sending spam to other email addresses.  He was heavily Indian accented and officious sounding.  I  am constantly being bombarded by scams like this which ask for key access information.  I told him that I recognized this as a scam and he said that he would report me to some unknown person and hung up.

Received call from Leroy who said our email account was compromised and they had received.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCESS!!!!

"I read all the complaints above but I don't think that there is too much of this."   Alerting people to your scam hurts, doesn't it?  Good!  Reported for being a shill.  And not a good one, at that!

Feb 2, 2014 got a call from Premium Technical Support 855-763-0456 said my yahoo address was sending out a virus. Thuis is a scam reported it to the State Attorney General and Yahoo Corporate Office

My computer flashed a screen that said "Due to Trojan Virus your computer windows file got corrupt, call system administrator at 855-763-0456". I knew it was a scam but I called anyway.  I asked the person his name and he said "Sam".  He said he needed access to my computer to fix the problem. I asked what the name of this company was and he said "Agent001". I was laughing so hard I hung up.  OF COURSE THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE!!!

Similar experience to "Caller from California".  My wife's laptop got the same "trojan virus" message (quoting "Error code Win32xepcj") along with instructions to call 1-855-763-0456 for assistance.  Her laptop was literally locked up in a loop that kept bringing up that message.  I just shut it down and rebooted, did a virus scan (negative), tested the major apps (all good) and then called the number.  I got run around in circles ... they wanted access ... I hung up as well, except I wasn't laughing.  The only virus on my wife's computer was the people behind that message and phone number.

A website keeps coming up saying it found virus in my computer and wants me to call @ 1-855-763-0456.
But my computer is clean and doesn't have any viruses. Some please help!

What do I do? It won't let me exist the Internet....

If the scammer accessed the computer, they probably did one or more of the following:
• Disabled the anti-virus software
• Added a lot of malware to the computer
• Copied the Contact List (so they can email the soon-to-be ex-friends)
• Copied any financial data or passwords they could find
• Compromised the ID
• "Zombied" the computer, so it would respond to THEIR commands sent via internet
• Deleted some important files
• Asked for money to repair the damage they caused

Now, what can you do?
1.  Pull the cables on the computer, so it cannot access the internet.
2.  Change ALL  passwords stored on the computer
3.  Run FULL malware scans on the computer, in "SAFE" mode!
4.  Change the passwords again, particularly if the malware scans showed anything
5.  Contact bank and credit card companies
6.  Sign up for credit monitoring, and check the status frequently
7.  Possibly bring the computer to a local repair shop, and tell them the story.
8.  Tell friends what happened, so they can be aware of strange emails from you
9.  Plug in the computers only AFTER all the above have been done
10.  Change the passwords on all online accounts.

Remember, honest computer companies do NOT cold-call people to tell them their computers need fixing!

Me too. I have shut my computer down 4 times but it is still there each time I reboot. I can't get rid of it. I have a very good virus protection on all of our computers, so I know it is not true. I had to go to a different computer to google the phone number. I guess that I will have to call an expert to help me get out of this mess.
