    855 7646445 is the number from RSV Equity Group that called me today. She said her name was Lynette Cashes. She was talking so fast but very nice. She gave me 3 options to pay back loan but i could not send a money order. Had to be with credit card or prepaid card. I told her I would call her back. But of course I wanted to check this out first. It confirmed what I suspected. A scam

    I received a message today from 855-764-6445 stating it was Casey Powers from RSV Group.  He talked very fast, I had to replay the message a couple times to understand what he said.  The message said there was a claim filed against me in my county.  They would be verifying my employment through my HR dept.
    I could call back with a file number and resolve voluntarily.  Good LUCK!  SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

    Just got 2 calls in a row from this number in my voicemail. Both were from and Angela to someone I do not know. She stated she was with RSV and representing a financial lending institution. The first message had Angela threatening this person with employment verification and then she messed up her script and said oh lord and hung up. She then called immediately back and this time threatened this person with prosecution in their local jurisdiction. Gave the same phone number as a return call number with a case number.

    Just spent 30 minutes dealing with Peter Casey. They are another scam according to the Missouri Attorney General. NEVER give them any information. NEVER agree to verify any information they have. When they try to talk over you keep talking, shouting if necessary. Tell them "You are a scam. I have contacted law enforcement." then hang up. They will give up after they realize they can't intimidate you. Rest assured they have NOT filed any law suit nor do they intend to. They are not lawyers, they do not represent anyone other than themselves.

    I got a phone call from this 855-764-6445,  they called themselves RSB Equity Group about owing a payday loan from 2007. She told that I owe over 2500.00, and that if i decided to pay the payday loan back that the company will give me a discount of 1100.00 to pay back.  After i gave them my bank card number, i decided to change the number to another debit card.  They send me a paymenty notice by email and told me to Please sign this authorization digitally by simpy responding to this email.  Well I didn't respone to the email.  Butt they tried to take the money out anyway.  They called me on my job and also called me on my cellphone. I need to get them off my back.

    I have received numerous calls from this company, I know they are a scam because i have never had a payday loan and do not have any credit cards. They have said the same thing to me as to all of you, a "claim" has been filed with your county, employment verification. "I can't help you if you don't want to be helped" this is what the man says also. They are a scam NEVER give personal info. to these people you will be sorry. Be careful they will drain your accounts and credit cards!!!!!

    Had a Mr. Scott from 855-764-6445 call and left message that he had a file against me - they would have me arrested - wanted to verify my address and employment - if I would return the call I maybe could stop the file if I paid them $$$$.    I called my Attorney General's office - gave them the phone number and they advised they had flagged this number and for me NOT to give them any information - NOT to return their call.  I told the lady from Attorney General's office I did not want to be arrested (to be honest, I was crying when I was talking to her)_   She told me "don't worry about that - I do NOT know of any legit business that calls people and threatens and a LEGIT company would NEVER call and tell you if you did not give them money they would have you arrested at your home or place of business.    So - I am NOT calling them back.   Per Attorney General -= they are scammers - do NOT give them anything - no card number, no social (even though the person told me the last 4 digits of my ss#) no checking account number.

    I just received a call from this number saying that they have a complaint against
    me in their office. How did they get my cell phone number? I don't deal with a cell phone like that. To me this sounds like scam trying to get my personal information which I will not be giving out. And make out payment arrangements to repay or
    I will be charged and have to go to court. I have never seen this number before
    or heard of this group of people before. I have not received any letters
    or anything concerning this matter. They was talking very fast I could hardly
    understand what she was saying.

    Just received a message on my work phone. They have a case against me and will be verifying home address and sources of income. I've never heard of this company. I was going to call and tell them I filed bankruptcy but after seeing these comments I'm not going to even bother. SCAM. Don't respond or give any info.

    Not until they provide written validation and verifiable proof of contract with payday loan.  Do you know who the company was that called?  Did you ask for the Company name,  their names,  phone number,  Physical mailing address, written verifiable validation of the claim as last held by the Original owner of the alleged debt
    and then emfatically deny oweing such debt?

    They are scammers,  or sleezy collection bottom feeders trying to collect on a loan that either doesn't exist or was one that in years out of statue of limitations and  they are trying to scare you into paying.
    The payday loan scam has gotten pretty popular in the past year.  You have to watch them though.  Sometimes the Collections Companies will put a bug in your credit report claiming you owe the debt.
    This gives you grounds to sue their pants off.  I have myself done it with a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates who tried to collect debt that was 3 states away from me.  They claimed that an 84 year old lady in a Hospice care center in Iowa was my wife and I had to pay her bill.  Well my wife is alive and well, here in Texas,  at a ripe old age of 37.  PRA put notices in my credit reports trying to have some ammo in court, Since this was a substantial amount of money.  I did win of course and all I had to do was present my marriage license and introduce my wife to the Judge.  He laughed and asked the plaintif if he had any questions?  The judgement in my favor also included attorney fees and all of my expenses, court costs and other liabilities for what they put us thru.   (Little over 17,000)  The funniest part was the Attorney Representing them wanted to settle it on the side......when he met the MRS.
    Stick to your guns and make them validate any claim in writing via us mail.  Odds are you won't hear from them afterwords.

    I just talked to Carl Moore. He left a message for me on my cell phone and said I was being used as a reference for someone in my family if they couldn't get ahold of my family member. I asked him if he tried to call my family member and he said yes and I said that's the only thing I would be able to do too. He was rude and kept interrupting me and asking me if I was going to deliver the message and then he hung up on me. I called him back because this company called me several months ago and I was told I would be removed from their list of references and he said he personally never called me and hung up on me again. They are rude and obnoxious! I am filing a complaint with the attorney general in my state ...I see they aren't BBB accredited...gee I wonder why..their rating is a c+ which means they get lots of complaints and don't care.

    A SCAM!!!!  I have been getting scam "delinquent payday loan" calls for over a year now and they just keep calling .  It stops for a while, the company changes names and numbers and it starts again.  DO NOT RETURN THE CALLS.  I have been threatened with jail many times and I'm still here.  I just wish they would STOP calling....they even called my family members a few times.  Notifiying the attorney general about this number too!

    These people have been calling me as well. They say they can get you arrested if you don't pay. Also told me
    That I will lose my job. This is crazy. They called my director at work but when I called back and was screaming at them not to call my job and that they are a scam they hung up. The earlier statement is true that these people are scammers and if they do have a claim that it not the proprietary way to handle things. Do not let them intimidate you. Do not give any info or anything pertaining to your accounts and credit cards. And do not be afraid of these people. Stand your ground

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
    Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

    Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

    Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

    Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

    Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>
