Trying to collect against person not in our household. First time they have used this number, but previous calls from this voice have been tracked to Blackstone Financial Group in Ontario, California. They don't identify themselves, say they are sending an officer of the law with important documentation. This is harassment.

Legitimate debt collectors must identify themselves, must be willing to send written documentation, must stop if you ask them to stop. Complaints can be filed with California Attorney General's office: http://ag.ca.gov/consumers/general.php

They keep calling me at work.  They are trying to serve someone with a similar name to mine, but I don't owe anybody anything.  They keep harrassing my dad too.  It's just a scheme.  They keep saying they are going to come and serve papers between a certain time, and they never show.  No one calls before they are going to serve papers.  They just do it.  It's intimidation what they are trying to do.  And it's illegal for them to harrass at the workplace.

A male called identifying himself to be Mark Thompson, Processing Officer for Los Angeles County. The caller ID shows the telphone number as "Private Name." He stated that subpoena will be served and it is important that I call 855-781-6964 with the case number CA39529-MB.

I DON'T believe that anyone calls ahead of time to inform you that you will be served.

Of course, I did not call as I do not owe anyone anything and my financial obligations are current. Is this 855 area code number toll free or a schemewhere a person gets charged with a huge bill once the call is made to that number l???

With the economy we are in now, the number of crooks are growing daily.

they are harrassing me also but they are calling for someone else--I called them yesterday to tell them they are not calling the correct person and I didn't know who they were calling but now they are calling again!!!!!

I woke up this morning with my neighbor delivering a handwritten note telling me to give this guy a call, because apparently they were calling HIM last night for information about me.

Yesterday, a man left a msg regarding case # Ca327215am for my husband to call back 855-781-6964 .  Today, there is a woman voice left msg for my sister, who is not living with us to call back 855-781-6964 for her case # Ca327137400am.   They want to verify the address to release legal documents to the court office in our county.  We're not going to call back.  Sounds very fishy!

I got a call from the "County Clerk" in regards to some documentation, however, they used the city that my house use to live in (2 years ago).  They have sent things telling us of this change before.  Suspicious

What an idiot!!!  I guy calls me with a firm voice telling me that docs will go to the clerk's office unless I give them a call.  

I say, IF SOMEONE HAS SOMETING AGINS ME, JUST SUE ME OR TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS!!!!

A reputable collector or lawer does not say that, they just do it because some hired them and they are getting paid to do it.

Just got called by same number.  I always let it go to message if it's 'restricted.'  Mark Johnson as well.  Wants me to call 'immediately' or 'before time sensitive material arrives in the mail from the County Clerk.'

I got the most harassing call I have ever gotten in my life. The man said he was Mr. Roberts from the brownstone group. He threatened to call authorities to take away my lively hood and I was very shaken up. He also called my answering service and said officers should be at my door tomorrow. I had a hard time working after this. I would like to report this.

My parents received a call from a man at this number. He was looking for me, to find my boyfriend. We lives STATES away. Not the first call. THis time, he said he was a process server and needed to serve papers for court the next day. What?! This is obviously a lie.

If you request for calls to stop at the work place they must stop at once!!!!!!

They keep calling won't give any information re: call not even company they just say they have a court order for known

Same as above they use several different numbers, have called my landlords, boyfriends parents and my family.  It is a scam, don't give them money or information. I reported them to the Federal Trade Commision and suggest you all do the same..  They are a fake collection agency that calls themselves Blackstone Financial.  They also use 949-660-9700.

These people called my parents house and the funny thing is I don't even know my parents home phone.  They seem to be calling to match a name with an address.  I have no idea how they got my parents phone number because I never used it filling out any forms, application... etc.

So if that's the case there getting information and matching an address for that information.  I also never used my parents address for anything either (they just moved to this address new address).  Can anyone get information on these people?  They could be stealing names and information off the internet to ID address to use your personal information.  Same thing as the rest they want me to call the number with a case number to be served etc...

I just received a call from 1-855-781-6964. A man identified himself as a process server asked me to call this number in regards to file # 001-3-36159. He gave me a name of a lady who owes us money in unpaid rent and asked for my husband. Then he asked me to call the above phone #  regarding this file #. When I asked him what was it all about he didn't say anything new and again suggested that we call the above #. He said that it was an attorney office that handles this file.
It sounds very fishy. I'd like to block this #. And I suspect that it could be an identity theft.

We just got a message on our voice mail for my husband saying that "documents would be sent to the clerk's office" and "the address verified" if we didn't call back.  We are not in default on any bills, so I'm thinking SCAM.  We won't be calling back.

A female called named Ms Fields stating that I owed money for a bad check from 2004. She said something to the effect that I needed to give her a credit card number to pay a balance of $424.00 and they she could get it down to $275.00 if I paid immediately. She gave 2 different ext 226 and 252 to call her back. How she said she was with the allegiance company but yet could not give me any info on what it was for and that she could have my driver's license taken away.

Isn't there anyone you can report this to?
