    Ok so this is the post that I placed on the number which these people use to call from.  This is now the new number they like to use...  Old number is 1-855-791-2353.

    Ok so I got a call today which violated NUMEROUS LAWS from this company who has now switched there phone number to 1-855-785-4717 so they can avoid being listed as a FRAUD COMPANY....  I got them to provide me an email to send the voicemail to a manager there which isn't even valid......  hufmanandassociates@gmail.com  (BOGUS!!!) They claim to be a debt collector but I have done debt collection in all 50 states and an additional 4 countries around the world.  So at the end of the day I think I know my laws.....

    The voice mail that was left by "ANNA" at extension "181" stated that they would be filing a "CRIMINAL FRAUD CASE AGAINST ME TOMORROW"...   Which isn't true at all.  I am going to include a slightly edited version (Removed anything that should be given out but my email will be left due to I am attempting to put together the "TORT" to stop these *******'s from doing this anymore.  I am also notifying Phoenix and Denver News agencies of this SCAM!!!) of what I was attempting to send them in an email which was rejected due to the email they provided was incorrect....

    To whom it may concern,

     I am sending this email as a notice that you have 30 days to settle this out of court.  Your company has violated Federal Debt Collection Laws and Federal Privacy Laws with the Voice Mail that was left by "Anna" at extension "181".  The FBI has already been contacted in regards to this abuse of Federally Protected Phone Lines.

    The Laws that your company has violated and the links to where they are posted:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

    "What practices are off limits for debt collectors?"

    False statements. Debt collectors may not lie when they are trying to collect a debt. For example, they may not:

      falsely claim that they are attorneys or government representatives;
      falsely claim that you have committed a crime;

    Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that:

      you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt;

    What rights I have per Federal Law which will be exercised if your company doesn't settle this out of court with me:

    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
    "Do I have any recourse if I think a debt collector has violated the law?"

    You have the right to sue a collector in a state or federal court within one year from the date the law was violated. If you win, the judge can require the collector to pay you for any damages you can prove you suffered because of the illegal collection practices, like lost wages and medical bills. The judge can require the debt collector to pay you up to $1,000, even if you can’t prove that you suffered actual damages. You also can be reimbursed for your attorney’s fees and court costs. A group of people also may sue a debt collector as part of a class action lawsuit and recover money for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector’s net worth, whichever amount is lower. Even if a debt collector violates the FDCPA in trying to collect a debt, the debt does not go away if you owe it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     Please provide me with the actions which you will take to correct this.  Also be aware that a simple letter stating that you are "Sorry" will not be acceptable.  Also just for your information the collector also violated Privacy Laws as well by leaving the last 4 digits of my social security number on a Voice Mail that clearly states that it is a Voice Mail for the "Support Department" and not for just me.  This is where I pulled this Voice Mail from.

      I have not included this Legal Information due to I am assuming you should have that on file, because you claim to be a Law Office.

    These scumbags called and made threats of arrest for financial fraud for a debt that isn't mine. I recently was a victim of identity theft and since then these vermin have been harassing me and anyone related to me to relay the threat through them. They'll tell you they want to help to avoid arrest and litigation if you'll just give them your debit or credit card info to settle the debt. If you do, they'll rob you blind and then sell your info to the next scammer, and so it begins.
    There's a special place in hell for these people, they are truly the scum of the earth.......

    I had them contact me last year around June.  They used what you are calling the new number tried to rip me off.  I got them to email paperwork on the debit of which I owed but if you look at the dates of both lettersit was off, and one letter  it came straight from the orignial debtor which had sold off my account to someone else years ago, I called them to verify and of which I had paid off the year  and I got a letter confirming that.  now I get a call from the 855-754-0219 which asks to call back at phone number 855-791-2353, same threating voicemail, but doesn't leave any company info or name of person call.  Recorded message.  this debit is now over 6 years old.  They need to stop.
