Text a message to my cell phone.

I just received a text also to call them about a job that I applied for.  They also did not respond to my text as to identifying themselves.

I just received a test also. Text back asking what company they where with. No reply

They texted me about a job i applied for. In what I was applying to yesterday, they seem to be a 'conduit' for employers to use to get resumes for their open jobs. Seems like a type of job search engine. They didn't ask for personal info other than address/phone/email that was already provided in the application process. Can always report them to BBB if need be!

Just received a text and asked to call about a job I applied for.  Says Hi Lisa at the beginning like they know you. Really annoyed the only way to get a job is filling out online apps and now I have to worry about telemarketing off my job application.  Ridiculous.

Just received a text: Hi Celina call me about the Payroll Specialist job you have applied for  8558066585 (txt STOP to cancel)   When I text back and Cancel a text came back from Career Network job Alet.... then said for more info call 188-753-4394

I rec'd a text from this number (app tree) asking me to call them for a job that I applied to.  I asked what the name of their company is, and I got no reply back.  The text number is was sent back to was 56030.

Yep, got the same as all of you report. it's a shame people try and scam anyone but especially those out of work trying to find an honest living.

I also received a text from them but after reading the above comments I am not going to call them back. On any search engine for a job I am seeking I do not click the box to receive text messages but they send them anyway taking away from how many texts I can receive a month.

I too have received this message not too long ago. I first found it suspicious as normal credible businesses/agencies will call and leave a message or email. I then looked up the area code and found it was a toll free number. Only thing I found on apptree was a eastern Massachusetts company website which offers tree services and land clearing, which had nothing to do with my line of work that I applied for. So knowing it's not that company, who knows who these people are. Thanks to everyone's posts I won't be replying to them.

Received that message today.  Read the above messages but called anyway.  They seem to be working with small schools trying to get students.  After answering all their questions they told me about a school close to me where I could further my education.  I then got a phone call from a rather pusy gentleman wanting me to visit the school.  I told him I honestly did not want any information.  Lets see how many times they bother me now.

I got a text stating "Hi Ky, Call me about the Human Resources Coordinator job you applied for 8558066585"

When I called I got an electronic message stating that I'd have to hold for someone to identify me as a candidate.  Then a man came on the line identifying himself as Ralph, stating that they needed to verify my information to be sure it is accurate, and that the phone conversation could be taped for training purposes.  He said this process would take 20 minutes and do I have 20 minutes.  I said "no" not on my cell phone.  I said I am unemployed and he would need to call me back on his cell to interview me.  He said "No problem, but never called back."     I am worried that my cell phone will be charged for this crazy call.  

How awful that people are out there taking advantage of the unemployed and string them along for any purpose!!!

Just texted them back the words "STOP"   The reply gave the name "Career Network Job Alert"    Now we know who they are.

Me to same as above what junk these application sites need yo b more secure.

Recvd the same about a job, which I do not remember applying for. How many are you veterans that got the all.
506 area code should be in south america, but could be a lodge in montana, probably from a work at home using voip. Went to one site too lookup it stated it could not take my request due to possible virus bot calling that nbr. So be aware of some sites giving you false info to protect that caller.

I also received a text message about an Office Administration Job. I didn't trust it so I just didn't reply. Since when are these "interviews" recruited through text. I am unemployed and just do not need the hassle

I just got the same text about the Admin Secretary job I applied for.  I decided to Google the number and all these posts came up. Wow,it's kinda creepy.
