The recording was obviously set up to wait for the beep, knowing that meant they had reached a voice mailbox instead of a real person, because my recording did not start in the middle of a sentence or half-way through their recording.  It starts exactly at "This message is for XXX XX" making it obvious they know they are leaving a recording on a recorder -- after the beep has sounded.  The message says that if you continue to listen you are confirming you are XXX XX, This is just a sneaky tactic because they know you are not there and cannot hang up to let them know that you are not the right person -- so they will stop calling(??)
The number is a collection agency that does this kind of thing, hoping someone will be convinced they owe a debt that they do not actually owe.  They hope you will fall for their line that if you pay now they can keep you out of real collection.  This tactic seems to be the "scam of the day right now, but it is not true.  We do not owe anyone money -- much less something that would be turned over to a collection agency.  So they cannot be calling on a legitimate debt collection.

They called and I answered, the recording  asked for my husband I continued to listen and  it went through it's thing and said they were calling from Stellar Recovery Inc. The phone number they gave isn't a valid # according to several #look up sites  and the area code that came up on my caller id was a local one. I wont be giving husband this message.

these annoying persons are calling my parents repetitively, when I do not live there and have a number in the phone book. its clear that they have no idea what they are doing, whom they bother, nor how to get hold of their targeted victim. I suppose this is a bill collector, trying to collect a bill I paid off years ago. I had one hang on for 19 years!

Same thing happened to me, left the exact same message on my voicemail.  definantly a scammer.  Not only a phoney message.  But i have caller ID on my phone and i the number was 502-653-8084.  Well on their phoney scam they said their number was 855-820-5219.  Do they not realize people have caller ID?!  Anyways, total scam.  Im on the national do not call list too.  Seems these idiots are able to bypass that list and try to scam everyone.  A shame that there is such low lifes in this world that are to busy trying to steal an honest persons paycheck that they cant go out and get a job and make money the right way.

I've received several messages from this number. Since the voice mail is calling about a "private matter" I knew it was some sort of collection agency. I thought this was very odd since I don't have any outstanding debt in collections. To be double sure I checked my credit report which confirmed my credit was in good standing. The caller ID on my phone shows a local austin, tx number but as the folks said above, it directs me to call back 855 820 5219. 100% scam. I can only figure they are calling on long long long ago debts that have either fallen off my credit report or were paid many moons ago. Needless to say, I'm not falling for it.

These folks will use: VOIP alternate out of state calls but with your area code, a comm company out of Phil Pa, etc companies.  DO NOT give any portion of your Social Security number, verify your address, and CHECK YOUR CREDIT BUREAU ReportS/Experian -Equifax-Trasunion to verify any dribble these clowns may be spewing. By law, you can request one credit report from the three companies previously mentioned. You do NOT need to by the monthly Credit Report garbage, so, don't get scammed by that either. Do NOT send any payment, for this may/will start the debt clock in some states.  Also, this may not even be your debt that you are being called out on!  Lots of good information from the US government on the FDCPA and FCRA.  Trust Few and Trust Even Less!

These harassers did not remove my newly assigned work cell phone number within 48 hours as they said to, and keep calling from different 502 area code phones.  They're asking for a person whom I'm unfamiliar with.

I just got a call from these people called Stellar Recovery.  At first it was a recording saying they were NOT a collection agency (1st Red Flag) and asking if I was so and so, press 1. So out of curiosity, I did.  Then an agent answered asking to speak with so and so, so I asked who was speaking and she said, "Stellar Recovery.  Are you so and so?" So I asked them what this company was about and she asked, "Is your address......?" which it was and I simply told her I wasn't going to verify any information until she told me who she was and what the company was about bc I was not comfortable with verifying any information over the phone. She said, "Well then I'm sorry ma'am, I can't help you then. Good-bye."  I don't know where these people get the COJONES to call someone and ask for all this information out of the blue but if you're not CAREFUL, you'll be in a world of guano later! BEWARE! Also, have you ever tried Googling yourself?  Did you know that your address, phone number and even the people you've lived with in the past and present are scattered all over the internet??? I don't even let most of my closest friends know where I live but now anybody can just find you FOR FREE! How do you think people like Stellar Recovery find us? ON TOP of the fact that everytime you sign up for those "Reward" membership programs like let's say, Panera Bread, they sell your info to 3rd party vendors that try to sell you things later. HENCE the random emails or phone calls we get.  READ THEIR PRIVACY NOTICE...it's not like it's not there! I ain't a game no more people!

    Random Phone Calls
This is the second time this company has called me. Both of the calls were for "Parker Johnny" and it was personal matters. They said it themselves that they are a debt collector and are looking for the funds "he" owes. I don't have tolerance for these type of low lives so how do I get my name off their calling lists. I don't want to call back and they charge me for the call. Any information would help. Thank you.

They keep calling my cell phone.  When I listen to my message it says to press 2.  Then it tells me this in not a correct option....I don't know how they can do that as my voice mail is always obtained by pressing 1.  When I try to press 1 I am told that is also not an option.  I am so very sick of these people calling each and every day.  Must be scammers.
