I called this idiots bluff and grilled the grilled Diane the receptionist on what the call was about.  First she said it was for a litigation case.  When I pressed her for the company and address, she started acting erratic.  Said the company was Alliance group but could not provide me with an address other than New York.

She then proceeded to act like she could not hear me and hung up.  When I called back I kept reaching a cell voicemail then, I got a message saying the wireless caller you are trying to reach is not available.  Complete scam!!!!

Beware of giving any info to these people.

These people called me two days ago.  Said they wanted to deliver legal papers. When i ask about who they were from, i was transfered to another woman who had my OLD email, my OLD address, and said it was about an OLD bill from 2012.  I knew the bill was not real.  So when i questioned that this was a scam, she offered me a settlement payment. I said i was not paying anything for a bill that i didn't remember and then she said if it went to court i would have to pay $2500 for my attorney fees.  When I hung up without paying them, they called back today, two days later. I said i had checked into them and wasn't paying them anything and she hung up on me.  I think this is a big scam.

another person called me and told me to call them because I was appointed as a witness in a civil court case.  when I called they hanged up on me so when I finally got to someone her name was Catherine Rosi very unpleasant person. when I ask for the information she indicated that all she can give me was amount owe and a date from 2012 on a personal loan from Payday at a address I have not live in over 10 years ago.  she offer a settlement I said I have never taking a loan out with this company and I wanted original paperwork proving it was me.  She indicated that I need to seek a lawyer and bring it to court and that would cost me $2500.00 and it would just be cheaper to pay them.  I told them no, to send me the subpoena for court and that I was going to counter sue them for the harassment.  she hanged up.  Still waiting on the subpoena.  we will see in court?

A phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed - US Mail ... not emailed or texted]

Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via Green Dot, MoneyGram, Western Union, prepaid gift card or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.

This person called MY MOTHERS PHONE. They said, Mr. *********** has a case with us. So my mother called me and gave me the case number. I called and the first thing i got was an automated person saying. "This person you are calling is on a phone call and can not answer, please call back". So i waited a couple minutes and called. Then i finally got thru. They knew my last 4 digits of my social. But when they transfered me, the other woman said "I have a payday loan that i never paid back in full". I told them "I never in my life had a payday loan, and i see online that your a scam". Then this woman got mad and said "Fine, you will default and we will pursue litigation, youll recieve somehting in the mail". Then she hung up.....  SCAM!!!! Please beware of these crooks!!!!

I just got this phone call as well saying that they had a payday loan back in 2012 that I haven't paid in full unfortunately I screwed up and gave them my full social security number because I had a loan that was paid in full at a time but in a different state with a different company and I wasn't thinking but she said nothing about paying anything to them but she did say it was a litigation gave me a case number and everything be aware this crap is fake nothing but a scam

I received a call from this numbe today.  I was given a case number. They said that I was scheduled to have a some documents delivered regarding a civil procedure.    When I called back to ask about the case number, they would not tell me any information without giving them my social security number.  I informed them that I do not divulge my social security number.  They would not give me any information.  I asked to have my number removed from their list, and the woman said that she cannot do that.

I was told I was going to be sued for defrauding a financial institution.  That's a major felony... not a civil action.  SCAM.

My mother in law got a call from them about me.  She called me worried they were gonna take me away.  I told her it was scam,  that I've gotten these calls before.  I called the number and I yelled at them.  I told them to stop harassing my mother in law.  The receptionist told me she was placed on the do not call list.  They told my mother in law,  that I gave her number as a contact to call.  When I asked who they had as a contact...  They said they had no number. So I have no idea how they got her number. If you look up alliance group.  There is an actual law firm,  and they say on their website that there are other people claiming to be them.

I also got the payday loan phone call. They would not give me any information but couldnt resist arguing with me. I was getting very upset and my Dad took over the phone. Although I am a grown adult and can be gullible as to these kind of scams my parents are not. These people will not be calling me again, they got a good earful!!!

I keep getting a call at work from a 855828-6997 number at work. Telling me there is a case against me. Who do i report them to. Its a scam

They called saying that I was being prosecuted for a loan that I never taken out. When I asked who the loan was from they couldn't tell me. They have the last four of my social. They hung up on me then placed me on a 25 minute hold. I called back and they told me that the person I spoke with would call me back but they don't have my phone number. They called me at my mothers house and I called from a blocked number.

I also called this stupid idiot,/ bluff  & also I grilled the receptionist also what this call on was about.  she said it was for a litigation case .  And I also pressed her for( the company & asked her name she. said her name ( Victoria Johnson she work's for MEYER"S) and  said the company too call is Alliance Law & i need too call ( Alliance 855--828-6997) When I called this phone and some lady answer's and says please hold and 45 minutes later still on hold.......... I Agree 100% Complete scam!!

These people called me back after I *67 and threatened my being!  Someone really needs to get the Law after them.  Her name was Diane saying you better hurry up and get them before we get you!  Now sounds like a threat to do bodily harm.  Who do I call in new york to get them arrested?  Seriously these people need some real mental help.

Getting unwanted calls from this number and show up as unknown caller.  Cindy AKA "Search for funfs" Then leaves message about a quick loan from 1k to 5k immediately available.  True scam to get banking  information.  Fraud do not trust.  Received 5 text for fast loan and a direct call.
