Call from Military book club

Received call from this number on Aug. 26, 2014 at 9:47 am.  Comes up wireless caller and 462-6360 on caller id.  Asked for (name) and told not available.  Asked what this is in regards to and only a personal business matter.  I asked for name of company was was told Contact Callers abad to call at 1-855-849-0491.  I told them if I think this is what I think it is, I don't want any more calls otherwise legal action will be taken against you.  He said fine.

Address: 501 Green St, 3rd Floor Suit 302, Augusta Georgia 30901. They also have a PO Box: PO Box 2207 Augusta Georgia 30903 - 2207. Claims I owe money on my water bill when that's a lie.

theybsay owe electric bill from 2009 I know I don't but they now send letter stating I owe this or rather my deceased husband owes it

You are not responsible for a deceased relative's debts, only their estate is, if there is one.  If the estate is non-existent or has already been settled, they are out of luck.  Since they sent you a letter, you can send a "Cease Communications" letter back to them.  If your husband's estate has not been settled, forward the letter to the executor of his estate.

Got call stating I owed Laclede gas 347.05 from 1990, lol and stated my maiden name and last 4 but wouldn't give me the full number said they only had last 4. I stated never lived at such address and married never had any utilities in maiden name... Alexandra stated he would send to their clients fraud department. These type of calls are getting worse and these Scammers should really be dealt with. Really this so called bill is over 26 years old WTF I'm sure if this was owed to Laclede Gas they would have collected years ago........ let's get real people

We have both been a receiving numerous calls on landline & cell incorrect addtesses from number pools stating debt or offering grants, fraud fear its phishing scam

Call never leave a message. I wish there was a way to keep these people from calling

Received a call from this number on March 02, 2016 @ 9:46PM. This caller didn't leave a message. Somehow, calls all the time.

Calling constantly for over a month. Never leaves message. Picked up once; caller hung up.

This company keeps calling and harassing my 70 y/o mother 3 and 4 times a week over a bill that does not exist. I've asked them since November to mail me documentation of this debt and 6 months later they have yet to do so. I checked the BBB and they have an F rating. My mother tells them to call me and they don't. Today I called them for the 3rd time and mentioned the BBB rating and the fact that they have not sent anything to prove a debt is owed so stop calling. The caller hung up on me at that point.

There are only 3 ways to get a Debt Collector to STOP CALLING.

1: Send the Collection Company a "Cease And Desist" Letter. Do a google search for
a basic Cease and desist letter template. You will need to send it REGISTERED....

2: Change your Number

3: Pay the debt

I am somewhat an expert with Collection agencies and trust me, you cant get them to stop calling by
just telling them to stop.

I love to screw with them all the time. I have a wide range of verbal abuse I unload on them like
saying "No speak - a - de - English" or try to sell them something like carpet cleaning service, or a subscription to a magazine or I just simply say
that IF AND WHEN I DECIDE TO PAY THIS DEBT, it would be to the original creditor and not a scum 3rd party collection agency.

Maybe your phone wants me to call. Did you ask? You should hear what your walls say about you behind your back. By now have you figured out we didn't call you, have no idea who you are, who called you & what makes you think we can do anything about it?

If you really want to mess with them here's a way I like. In this case the asked for me andvi said that's me. They did then say they need the last four of my social to identify who I am because they can't talk your business to anyone else. I let them know that I won't reveal any part of my social because of the ongoing identity thefts and our laws back me up. And let them know I don't even know who you are. They usually say I told you who I am then I say I told you also who I am. Lol it'll go round and round till they hang up. Really with all the scams I'm not giving any part of my social. They could have gone through my trash to get my bill information. If its a real bill collection let them go old school and send me a registered letter.

I keep receiving phone calls from this number and the woman tries tells me shes trying to get into contact with So and So and then when I ask what is it regarding she replies a Personal matter. Then she proceeded to give me an address I told her I don't live at that address and she said ok well I must have the wrong person then and hung up..... WTF I truly believe this whole thing is a SCAM. Luckily I know not to give anyone my information.
