I also got a call from this number. Didn't leave a message, too. It's been twice.

My number was called a few time and I don't know who this call is coming from.

Received call from this number several times over last two weeks. No message, number is unknown to me.

I received a call from this number today. They asked for my dad's name who is on most of bills, etc. When I said he wasn't here they elaborated by saying they needed to talk to whoever is in charge of the electric account. They said they would try back 10am tomorrow morning but I told them that wouldn't work either. I asked several times if there was a number to call instead and all I got was 877-286 before they hung up. Obviously some sort of scam but I just couldn't get the full number, darn.

mpower nergy is the third party supplier to conedison. therefore, mpower energy will b the supplier  of ur utilities company. who will b helping u to reduce ur rate on ur coned.. or on natinal grid bill by suppliying u the elcetric n gas through ur con-ed & national grid lines.
if u choose this program Con-ed will continue to provide the same reliable service and monthly bill that you currently receive from them.
The only change you will experience will be the new rate on your [electricity/gas] bill.
The only difference will be that your electricity & gas will be supplied by MPOWER energy through con-ed & national grid lines
if u dont belive.... juz grab ur con-ed bill
on the seond of the bill....juz below the supplier rate......on the fourth paragraph i.e total supply cost .....u may see a small printed boz....in dat its cleraly mentioned abut power your way program,. under this program there r no. of escos company ....who supply electric n gas ..... u can chck it on the website . even mpower energy they r also the esco companies....... thats all .....

You'll understand why nobody wants to do business with illiterate energy scammers, right? Any questions, look in the mirror.

mary yes it is a scam!  cause when they call they said that national grid sent me a letter according to their records... i say really.. so why when u call u asked whos in charge of the gas bill and not the person on the bill.. they have no idea who they call they just try to sucker people into it!

2nd i living in NYC HOUSING i dont pay for electricity or GAS so their who call is a SCAM!

3rd i am the do not call list so their breaking the law right there.. ive also in the past told this company to put me on their do not call list.. and any sister companies they have... and do not sell or hand over my info with any other company... and guess what they just called me again today

it is a scam as are all esco's. You get conned into paying higher prices and locked in. My husband had fallen for one a few years ago and we were paying WAY higher rates than directly from ConEd and had to pay a fee to terminate. One company even illegally impersonated me and signed me up. They had a fake phone call with some hispanic lady pretending to be me! These scammers are outrageous and I reported the one company to everyone locally and the state. These people who comment that it isn't a scam are liers who probably work for the scum esco.

If you're going to post a message on behalf of a business, shouldn't you learn to write better than a teenage girl texting her boyfriend?

PEOPLE...be very careful before you switch your con ed or heat bill,,,if you receive HEAP from what i was told HEAP does not deposit money for your heat into this companys account so that means if you get 750.00 a year then you will lose your 750.00 a year

It's a scam nonetheless.  Con Ed and Natgrid want to get out of the billing business.  But when you have a problem with your bill, do you want to deal with an established utility...or some fly-by-night being run by a guy in his underwear working out of his mother's basement?
