I received a call from another number, it was actually a local number belonging to a person who had no knowledge of it being used by this company calling themselves CMS. They left a message saying someone was in my area and would be out to my residence to serve me papers of some sort. They then left me the telephone number of 855-875-2513 to call with a case number. This is a big scam and they are violating all of the credit laws by leaving these messages. I can legally sue them for 1,000 dollars for leaving a threatening message like they did! Report them if they call you!

Just received same call from a 214-944-5312 number making the same threats.  Was given a case number telling me they were filing with the county clerk office. Told me they were coming to my home to bring me papers and hung up the phone when I told them that's the constable job. Gave me 1-855-8752513 to follow up.

They called me too and said they were going to go to my place of employment. Then I called back and the number was disconnected ....is this legit?

lol they full of [***] they say there are investigator but there are all  full of [***]...dont get scare is a big !@#$%^&*ing scam

I received the same type of calls, first call from "Brad Douglas" stated that he had an appointment to come to my home and the 2nd call he left a msg. to call 855-875-2513

Just a got a call. I'm from SATX. They left me that message from a 210-223-7030. I looked up the number and its actually from a Grey Hound Bus Station waiting area pay phone. His name is Brad and gave me the #855-875-2513. He said he was in the area and would come to my home and then to my work. and gave me a case number. I don't know if he is legit because I haven't rec'd anything from this company in the mail...Aren't they suppose to notify you in the mail first? Not sure what its for but they did have me worried. But after reading everyone else's posts I am little bit more relaxed knowing they have no right to do that. I do wish they would give me more info as to what its actually for.

They just called my work today to saying they were CMS left a harrassing message stating they were suing me. I'm so sick of these people scamming and saying I owe money for something I don't. how do we stop them???

They called my work saying they were a Tera Collins from CMS (Check Management Services).  My husband was being charged with fraud and bouncing a check over state lines.  If they did not recieve payment arrangements by the end of the day he would be sent to court and I would go to court as well because he listed me as a reference.  They said it was through a payday loan from 2008.  They were not able to tell me from which payday company or what the original balance was.  Just that it had gone to collections and after all the fees they would accept a settlement of 671.20.  If not after court fees we would owe between 2-3,000.  My husband was unemployed at the time and did take out payday loans then but couldn't remember owing anyone.  They said they sent us a letter but did not.  When I looked on line I could not find anything but scam messages.  When I called them to validate the company I was transfered around and given at 1st a po box number in Amherst NY.  I looked into it again and could not find anything and called them again for a street address.  I would not give my name so I was told not to call back and they did not have to prove who they were if I owed money they would take me to court and get it.  I called again and was transfered to someone who gave me an address of 425 ridgelea suite 102 Amherst NY.  I asked for verification to be mailed to me and emailed.  They said they would and the email info sent had my husband's ss# and where he worked at the time.  The company he was suppose to have gotten the loan was PDO Financial LLC but I can not find their number to validate the claim.  Oh, and now the company's name is Check Mediation Services.  They changed their name!!  They got so tired of me calling that they stopped ans my calls I know this because the same man would ans. and the one time I called instead of Hello it was "Yes miss".  It went to their voice mail so I called back on my cell they ans.  The guy then tried to tell me he had never talked to me.  I don't mind paying a bill I owe, but don't make me run in circles to validate who you are and act like as*es when I want to ask questions.  I still don't know if this is legit and i'm not paying it until I do!!!

this is not a law firm, so if they threaten you with a lawsuit or arrest, you can report these violations to the NYS Attorney General's office by calling 716-853-8404, and requesting a complaint form.

I keep getting calls from this number in NY....Then today I get a call from a tel number in Texas..210-223-7030...Funny how I called the number back it is disconnected. I really wish these people would stop calling my phone. Told me I need to be at my place of residence so they can give me some paperwork with a case number....Who are these people...The guy that left message today is a Joe McKinley and the other guy name is Joe White.

I am getting the same calls but from a couple of different numbers 855-880-3288 and 716-650-5623 Same scenario.  They threaten me for money or they will have me in court with a civil lawsuit and give a claim number.  If they had a real claim number we would've been served papers.  They are not only calling me and harassing me, but they are calling my family in other states that have the same last name. They leave threatening voicemails, and tell me I have until a certain hour to make this deal or I am going to court.

I received an email from the manager of this CMS place and did a goodle search on the phone number and address and can't come up with anything legit.  Do NOT give them any money, or debit cards and report to the Attorney Generals Office and Law offices.  I haven't gotten bothered in a few days when I emailed and told this Miss Stevens I was talking to the Attorney General in the morning.  However, my poor family is still being harassed.

I will be filing a report with the Attirney General's Office.  If everone does the same they will be caught.

Also any good feedback you see under their name or phone number, are from friends of theirs doing the same scam.  They are not a legit agency.  Don't be fooled, and block the numbers from coming in.
