They have called me everyday for about 3 days..  I'm assuming it's scammers since some idiot put my phone number online. They don't leave voicemails or anything & their phone number isn't any type of business or debt collector. I blocked them today.

It's ATT.  This is paid, but they still call.   I yelled at 4 different operators to stop calling.  Apparently, I was told I was on an auto dial loop.  It's super annoying, but I'm more than happy to call them back and yell at a 5th if they call again.

Repeat calls for weeks until I finally answered to figure out what the heck was going on.  They are a debt collection company for AT&T.  I have never owed AT&T any money and canceled over 5 years ago.  They asked me to "verify" my SSN and address.  I told them they should have it on file.  When I called their bluff, they actually gave me a SSN number back and incorrect address.  I told them they were being recorded and that they immediately told me that they could not proceed.  IF they aren't frauds, they do a horrible job of proving otherwise.

Have gotten repeated calls over and over on my cell and at work (at work it shows as "unavailable").  No messages and when I pick up at work, it's a recording asking me to hold on.  I don't do that - you called me.  It's apparently a debt collection scam as there are several similar numbers on this site stating the same thing - Credence Resource Mgmt.  They have a web site and look legit, but these calls aren't.  One post said they had put a soft pull on his credit report.  These companies are coming out of the woodwork and they get very abusive.

This number is definitely from AT&T!  If you have AT&T phone service, first hang up your phone, turn it back on then hit #01# and you will be promoted how to block their number out! If you have Comcast phone services then after you hang up & turn on your phone again and dial *60 and you will be prompted how to block the number out! With AT&T you can block out up to 10 numbers & with Comcast you can block up to 12 numbers! I don't know about other companies. Having said all that you should be aware that they can sometimes call you back from several different numbers from the same place, with just one or two different digits. A lot of companies can do that. There are some numbers that can't be blocked at all, like when your caller ID shows the call came from a private name private number, or some numbers that begin with either 888 or 800 & also some that begin with 877 or 999 or 976. I know getting these calls can be frustrating, but just do your best not to let it bother you! Much of the time we just say screw em! Then we unplug our phones!  Hope this info helps y'all!!

I've been getting this call for about a week. For me the call seems legitimate, though the nature of it is unknown to me and the manner they go about calling is pretty terrible. (They are terribly unclear, never leave a voicemail if I don't answer, and are bad about explaining why they are calling.)

I do owe AT&T money for equipment I was unable to return, which I *think* this is regarding, but I'm not sure and I'm not going to give any payment details to these people. I never heard from AT&T regarding this since *I* called them, so I'm going to contact AT&T directly first. I'm not sure why these people started contacting me all of a sudden, but I'm disappointed in AT&T—this seems like a terrible partner for them, and I still have an account with them so I'm not sure why they haven't just called or emailed me!

It's a scam pretending to be ATT to get information from you.  The then try to open lines in your name and resell the phones.  Do not give them any information.

It was a bill collector trying to contact someone. I called them back and told them that the person they were trying to contact is not at this number. They said they were sorry and they would take my number off this list.

An update: I called AT&T directly, inquired about any overdue charges, found the charge to be legitimate, asked them to revise their policies since I'd never heard about this charge from them directly, and paid it to them (since I trust them much more than some terrible collection service company that can't leave voicemail). I've not received the call since then.

ATT was calling for my ex girlfriends account that was past due.  She had me down as an alternate contact number.  They did take me off the list once I explained the situation though.
