my mom got a call from this number stating that they are from revenue canada.  I sense fraud.

I got a call from number: 1-855-896-0051. A man told that he is a CRA agent and gave id number and asked my name. He pronounced my name wrongly but he stated correctly the house number. I hanged the phone on. He phoned again and left a voice mail stating that by two hours I should give $2,750.or agent will come and arrest. I told my wife to call this number and she talked to persons, names are Tayor, Donald and gave fake IDS. My wife was told by them that they are from CRA audit and if my husband does not pay certain amount, then agent will come and arrest and one point one guy asked if we have cash available. This seems a big scam. My wife called CRA and reported this fact .Be careful from these guys.

A guy named Raymond Scott called me (accent is Indian) and  told me that I made a fraud by not paying money to CRA. Police is going to arrest me etc. They are bustards and praying on South Asians. I am at work and it is a lot of  disturbance.

I have informed police. Apparently, Police is unable to handle it and adviced me not to receive the call.

I had similar call from this number yesterday. Caller's name Zachary Smith, ID # 053629, CRA's legal department's head officer, phone # 1-855-896-0051 was talking the same [***] as John mentioned above. Be careful from these scamers. Police should do something to stop this nonsense.

SAME # CALLED ME. DEFINITELY FRAUD AS I CALLED CRA ON THEIR WEBSITE PHONE #.
THIS SCAM HAS BEEN AROUND FOR SOME TIME. THEY DO HAVE YOUR PHONE #, NAME AND ADDRESS FROM SOME MARKETING LIST.HIS NAME WAS "DANIEL SMITH" AND HIS BADGE # IS 937458 AND CRA CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS FRAUD. HE ASKED TO BE PAID BY ME GOING TO HOME DEPOT AND DEPOSITING $2183 ON SOME ACCOUNT AND HE WILL STAY ON PHONE WHEN I PAY AND I HAVE TO GIVE HIM THE PIN #.. INDIAN ACCENT. SAYS BANK ACCOUNT WILL BE FROZEN AND HE WILL CALL POLICE AND AN ARREST WARRANT WILL BE ISSUED AND THE AUTHORITIES WILL BE NOTIFIED TO ARREST ME. HOW DO THEY DEPORT ME IF I AM BORN IN CANADA? I CALEED RCMP AND THEY ADVISED NOT TO PAY ANYTHING AND THERE IS WIDESPREAD FRAUD RECENTLY. THEY DID ASKED ME TO EMAIL THEM THE DETAILS AND I JUST DID.

These people are calling us randomly saying that the CRA has a case against me and that they want to see me in court. I told them that any legal matters has to be corresponded to me by letter and not through a phone call. Clearly these guys are con artists.

It sounds like a same person (he had an Indian accent) since my mom gave my number to him. This number is initiated from the U.S. according to my cell so I knew he was bull sh1ting me.   I told him off...if he really was a CRA then send a letter, and hung up!!  All toll free #s from CRA website is 1-800 or 1-888.

A man called my mom from this number. He claimed to be calling from CRA and accused my mother of tax fraud. Informed her that there were charges against her and that she would be  picked up by police within the hour and her passport+assets seized and deported if she did not make an emergency payment of $2000. We called Revenue Canada and told them what happened, they informed us this was a widespread scam and to alert police.
Makonal info over the phone, the sure to never give out your persese guys are aggressive.

The same person called same tax story and want me to pay him 19000 by paypal. CRA has to do some thing about it, Indian accent and I also head laughing at the back groung
