- GlennOnce these people get your phone number they will harass you to death. They call at all times of the day starting at 8:00 a.m. and usually do not stop until 9:00 p.m. EST. I was thinking about changing my number but I have no idea how they got this number. I really would like to know how to get rid of them. I never answer the phone when they call.
- JHow do you get them to stop calling?
- Caller: Unknown

- NopeThey claim to be Wells Fargo with a promotion for auto insurance in which you get a free $25 gas card. They read me my address and then asked me to confirm my birthdate. They SAY that you will get to read over the information when they send it to your home, however, after a few minute she says "thanks for agreeing to try, I'll hand you over to our insurance specialist..." This is when I stopped and made sure to say "I did not agree to sign up for anything." I called Wells Fargo and realized that the number they called me on (10 times throughout the day while I wasn't there apparently) is not even listed on my account. Wells Fargo also told me they have no such promotion. So if you get the call, hang up and definitely DO NOT even say "okay" or "all right" because these kinds of scammers are known to record calls and use that simple utterance as "proof" that you agreed to their service.

- lapid001| 1 replyThis number has been calling me several times a day. I finally called the number tonight and was greeted with an automated message. It is Wells Fargo calling about a special promotion. The message is short and they give you an option of removing yourself from their "list" by entering your phone number. It might be worth a try.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Telemarketer
- What? replies to lapid001Huh? Remove yourself from their list, by entering your phone number? Don't do it! They already have your phone number. They are probably going to use that as an "I agree to your services", and you'll be stuck with something you didn't want.
- j&sour phone calls started soon after we opened a checking acc. at wachovia bank which is now owned by wells fargo bank. coincidence? i don't believe in it. we went to the bank and told them we would yank our money out if nothing is done. they said they know nothing about the caller but they put us on the no solicitation list, so lets see what happens. does anyone else deal with wells fargo/wachovia banks.

- scott williamsThis is a Wells Fargo promotion. I called and keyed my number to have them stop calling my number. The message answering system acknowledged my request and indicated it would take 30 days to remove me from further telemarketing promotions.
