Got a call this morning saying, "This is an important message from URG. My name is Carrie Yon. This call in an attempt to collect a debt. It is very important that I get a return call to 855-640-4756 ext 290."

I have no idea who URG is. I have no debts needing collection. I'm definitely not calling that number back.

Please read up on your rights here, also if these cretins start harassing you also file a complaints against them at this site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

You will find the law and letters that you can send to them.  Please make sure that if you mail them anything it is by Certified return receipt so that you have proof they received it, that way if you end up getting a lawyer to sue them you will have everything needed to go to court.  Keep a log of all dates and times they have called and a copy of any messages left as well.

wow, Thanks! The lady who called me was Ms. Cooper and left the number 855-683-2088 to call. When you look up this number (not the same as called in) it matches that of www.procurateur.com!
