This number said there was fraudulent activity on my Barclay master card. I do not have a credit card with them. They told me to call this number or my card will be put on hold. I called and in order to talk to a live person I would need to enter my card number. Right away I knew this was a fake phone call in order to get a card number from someone who actually has the master card.

I picked up this call and there was no one on the line.

I, too, got a voicemail saying to call back about potentially fraudulent activity on my Barclay MasterCard--which I don't have. Disgusting scammers.

Received a voice message this morning saying they were with Barclay Mastercard and a hold was going to be put on my card if I didn't call the number they left.  I don't have a Barclay Mastercard so I called my own Mastercard company and everything was fine with my card.  Obviously, a scam.

I got the same call, but it was about my MasterCard World Card... no bank mentioned. Same deal... call a number or card "may be put on hold."

i also got a call from this number saying there was fraudulent use on my Barclay card. i do have a barclay card and did have a recent burglary so i was worried and called. i did enter my account number but nothing happened. So i got my billing statement and called barclays number on that. They told me the (855) number was a scam. They had to issue me a new card. Beware!!

My husband got a call on his cell that our world mastercard was to be put on hold for nonpayment. Not only do we not have this card, we have not even heard of it! I called the number and the recording came on that this number is disconnected. SCAM!!!!!!    

I also received a call from 855-956-0445. I let it go to v-mail. I listened to the message; a computer generated voice says they're calling was regarding a 'MasterCard World' account and said a hold would be placed on the card ... blah, blah, blah. The message said to call. ... Yeah okay!  Delete.

Just got a call too - don't have a Barclay's card or Mastercard

I also just received a call from 855-956-0445 on my cell phone about a barclay world account card of which I do not pocess.  
Strange thing is, when I called back the number on my home phone, it said there was no such number?   but when I called on my cell phoneI got a a recording ?  
If you listen clearly they do not really have any customer service options available, unless you give the recording  a credit card number.  I believe this is a BIG SCAM…  PLEASE BEWARE…..
